Thanks Tracy! Haven't been able to fun fish as much as I'd like. In another month or so when my guiding starts to slow down I'll be able to get out there more.
I have been wondering, you always use live bait, what is it shad? Which is great. Do you have an artificial bait you use ? Love the content and the scenery. Cheers. 😊
Thanks man for watching! Wild shiners is what I use for bait. I don't throw artificial baits for bass that much any more cause I catch so many more trophy class fish over 8 lbs. using shiners. Lures that I've done the best with in the past on trophy fish are plastic worms and topwater baits.
Thank you for the reply. You said you don't use many artificial baits and if you do it's the artificial worm. I've always used the ,do you remember its called the Plow Jockey? Rubber or soft plastic worm in purple. My dad used em and I've had great turnout with em. Love your show and content always watch and 👍everyone. Cheers.🙂
There a many vdos on youtube that will show you how to catch large shiners. You'll need a casting net and some bait. There are a variety of baits that you can use. All of them are more or less equally effective. You can find the bait at most any feed store, depending on which one you choose to use.
Goes to that bigger/older bass want real bait and are hard to catch on lures. The older they are the smarter and lazier they are. This guy has caught so many double digit bass.
Thanks for the kind words Christopher and your right about how hard it is to catch trophy bass on lures. A perfect example is the recent Bassmaster event that was held here where I live. There was only one 30 lb. five fish limit brought in out of the whole tournament and only a couple of bass over 8 lbs. caught. Also most of those fishermen were using FFS.
Lol! No I don't! I get contacted through my Emails by companies wanting me to promote their products! But haven't had a big enough offer to make it worth my while. RU-vid is something I do mainly as a hobby, but I do get a lot of guide work off of it!
