Lady Home Cook. This cookie recipe by far has a crazy recipe mix cornflakes w/powder milk had never read or came across a. recipe such as this but gave a try after a few times baking. After reading reviews I altered my recipe here is what I did.Used AP flour 2 cups.Added less koshersalt total 2 tspn one in crunch mix one in dough.Less melted butter added it warm to melted in the crunch cereal, sugar, milk powder, mix used 3TBSP butter w/ 4 added of water and stirred crumbs halfway in baking until crispy. Added differ carnation MALTED powder 2 TBSP milk powder to the cookie dough.Plus to aviod to much of a spread of the cookies; I decided to bake @ 350 with cupcake papers in muffin tin pan cut the 1/4 cup chilled dough balls in half and baked 36 cookies for 10 mins until golden. Some did darken on the bottom and I had to remove from the pan to keep from browning and removed paper right away prevent sticking.Next time I will add mini marsh mellows atop before baking to ensure they don't burn. The batches turned out awesome crunnch on the outside edges and soft chew on the inside. I froze a few that was just as good thawed when I ate room temp. The muffin size are good for traveling and freeze with out crumbling This cookie is a winner in my household!
DO NOT MAKE THIS RECIPE! It is a total disaster.....I got the recipe from Christina Tosi's RU-vid channel and followed directions to the letter. Like so many other comments from other experienced bakers, it turned out a burned, inedible mass of glop. It was a waste of over an hour of prep (to make the Corn Flake crunch, bake, cool and then make the cookie dough), expensive ingredients and a spectacular FAIL.
Wait. She said bake for 8-10 minutes ?? The Milk Bar cookbook (uk edition) says 18 minutes. No wonder my first time left me with cookies burnt to a crisp. When baked for 10 mins was delicious but annoying that all cookie recipes in book state 18 minutes which is clearly incorrect.
That's probably because of the size of the cookie dough that the recipe calls out to portion on the baking tray. Standard sized cookies should only take around 12 minutes, bigger-sized cookies like the Levain cookies would take much longer. Nonetheless, it always pays to check whatever you're baking a few minutes before they're supposed to finish. :)
I watched your video which I liked very much. I have also taken the same service from Hunter Events WWF in East Maitland. Visit here: www.hunterevents.net.au
I wouldn't cook it whole because the tubes and connective tissue can be kinda hard. The heart is so big that you get a lot of meat and tender pieces. My local grocery store butcher thankfully does most of the cleaning of the heart and I get like 4 panels of clean heart.
Yes! This event obviously means a lot to me - I'm looking forward to 2018 - see y'all soon! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-D68ov8clBt4.html
OMG..!!! I saw those tortillas "El Milagro" the ones i always used when i lived in Chicago, delicious tortillas and their tacos in the their restaurants too😋. Have been living for lots of years now in California.
Why was it so much smaller this year? The price didn't go down but the events were a third of normal. This seemed like an even bigger hit than when you pulled Tim Love's grilling off into a separate paid for event. So I skipped it this year. I hope you get back on track and get some more big names in. I'd have gone if Alton Brown was there.
I'll say again,,,,, 3 years later,,, One of the BEST pieces of meat you can buy! I'm having heart tomorrow,,,,, maybe with some Fava beans :) hehe MMMM
Omg magnifique barbecue...
absolutely one of the best pieces of meats you can by. It takes a little work cleaning it,, but its well worth it! If it were cleaned properly and displayed in a meat counter it could sell for 10 bucks a pound!
This is so interesting. Definitely a wine lovers dream. I am a wine blogger from Kenya and we do not have wine festivals but I have been lucky to attend the Stellenbosch Wine Festival (I did a video on my channel). I hope I get to attend this someday. Cheers!
