Great Video❗️I’m set to begin the Digital Cinematography program in September. How similar is the Digital Cinematography program compared to the film program on campus?
I personally believe they are two completely different things both with great pros and cons but understanding which one is best for you is what it really comes down to. Knowing what I know now if I could I would have really loved receiving the Sony FX6 launchbox and knocked out all of my non-lab related and core classes.. then switched to in person to get hands on with all the studio related equipment and gear! For some being in person is the only way they would graduate.. so I would say do what makes the most sense for you, your happiness, and your career goals! :) I guess that's a good place to start.. What do you want to do with your degree after you graduate?
@@anotherfilmer I mainly want to be a screenwriter/scriptwriter more than anything. I figured that it could be somewhat easier to switch to in person when it’s time to actually be on sets and what not. My biggest reason for choosing online is because of everything going on around me here at home.
I've been following your channel right after I started online at Full Sail. I have about 5 months left and I really enjoy your videos. Looking towards Summer Break now. And by the way I am in Digital Cinematography program.. Also, live in Central Florida.
I am binging your channel right now. You make videos with actual substance, information, and first person view of Full Sail and it is helping me so much. They're also edited beautifully and you speak very well. Thank you for what you do !
The feedback means a lot to me.. I pray my videos can help every single possible student interested in achieving their goals and dreams! When you trust God anything is possible!!!
Good stuff!! Endless opportunities that only you can achieve.. don't ever rely on anyone doing the job for you.. close mouths don't get fed so make sure you make the most of it all!
#FULLSAILUNIVERSITY {CURRENT STUDENT} FEEDBACK Now I am starting to get why there are so many mixed reviews on google! As a current student that is absolutely struggling with computer programing and online courses, I must maintain professionalism. Hell, people really do not know the half of it, the university is poorly mismanaged and so severely and technologically outdated and outdated policies that date back to the '70's and as the State Of Florida, The Florida DPI, and the Florida Board Of Education. excuse the language here but, Florida is one of those completely äss-backwards states that still have territorial laws on the books and other really outdated laws. Indiania is another one as I spent a whole summer down in Fort Wayne back in 2010 after I graduated high school, ,as my father worked for GM at the time. I am originally from Wisconsin and still live at home in Wisconsin and am doing online schooling from home. I just absolutely failed Computer Programing 1 because I literally didn't get it and was literally alien and foreign to me !!! It is like a nuclear physicist trading places with a mechanic and trying to do their jobs!!!!!! THIS IS LIKE THE THIRD TIME I HAVE HAD THE TEACHERS THAT WERE NOT HELPFUL. My Math professor was a former Lawyer for Christ's sakes and there was something shady with that individual, but couldn't quite put my finger on it. The guy didn't know any math and was "preaching" an outdated form of mathematics originally used back in the 70's for shop and woodworking classes as well as the original computer coding for the Apple/McIntosh Computers! what really frustrates me is the stupid rule stating you ABSOLUTELY CANNOT USE ANY FORM OF CODING OR ALGORITHIC OR LOGIC OR EVEN A.I./AUTO-COMPLETE, plus I noticed that they re-use criteria and materials that are at least 15 years old already. As one date stated 2013/2012/2011 etc. I did a little research on my own and found that the Wisconsin DPI stopped using it sometime between the mid '90's and the beginning of the new Millenium. But, thankfully my school district taught my generation of Millennials the Gen X, how to learn how to use a computer at an incredibly young age way back in Kintergarten!!! And Because of this, I have (literally) had people judge me because they thought I knew too much about the subject! and this got me into trouble. I also had a very troubled learning environment in school growing up. I was severely bullied because of my weight and my school district had a form of pink slips for missing or late or uncompleted work and was also unfairly and sometimes, unjustly disciplined Also on top of that I also have Asperger's and was diagnosed in 2007 by the state of Wisconsin and Green County my freshman year. I also had severe learning delays and was held back and had to repeat PRE-SCHOOL TWICE and didn't graduate until 2010, when I should have technically graduated in 2008. I also have ADD& ADHD too which also makes it hard to study and focus sometimes!!!! It is absolutely a steaming pile of B.S. Plus today's generation of students and people literally are so disrespectful, do not have any ethical and moral values and concern for their fellow peers and students and even gamers. I have played with a few before and all it takes is a rotten apple to spoil the bushel. The same with students who are disruptive too. I was like this once only because of my disabilities and my school district thought I was acting out but was secretly struggling because no one noticed or knew or was trained to recognize the sign of Autism and Autism related academic struggles. I absolutely suck at math and the university is using Microsoft Visual Studio and not Microsoft Visual Code. and because of my learning disabilities I flunked my class, and the University has a 2 attempt policy before you are automatically dismissed. and must give back the computer INSTEAD OF ACTUALL KEEPING IT EVEN IF YOU FAIL OR DROPOUT UNLIKE MOST UNIVERSITIES DO. HELL, THEIR STANDARDS AND POLICIES ARE LITERALLY OVERSHADOWED BY U.W. MADISON, which is actually one of the most prominent universities in the contegial lower 48 which many hospitals and even universities are models and molds their Academic Polices to adhere by. I actually want to keep my computer and am trying my damndest and hardest to succeed here BUT AM LITERALLY GETTING NO HELP FROM ANYBODY. it is literally like hitting a brick wall at the same time banging your head against that brick wall at the same time,(metaphorically speaking!.)
Starting full sail online in September and in person in march and this video answered questions I had about the scheduling and work. Fortunately I’m a personal trainer so it helps I can control my schedule
Congratulations! It's been a journey and I know it will be for you as well.. Trust God's will in your life and wherever it takes you I wish you the best!
I agree! The early park admission and the very short walk made it so worth it. Did you notice any major changes to the resort or water park from the video?
@@anotherfilmer I’m looking forward to being back in school in general but this time to do what I actually like to do with so many likeminded and creative people! And to come out being the best composer I can be!
I don't see why not.. but admissions will 100% let you know that if you aren't or are when it comes down to it. College is different than high school tbh so I don't think they care too much..
That's all over the place to be honest, don't be too quick to judge how God can use you and the places He can take you to be the change or influence many with the good. I've been to a community college as well and not much different than Full Sail University.. both allow you to walk away with a piece of paper that doesn't mean much or promise a guaranteed job.. if you want that go learn a trade like welding! I started with fire fighting and then military to be able to afford my degree now.. we all start different places!
and sometimes the poor planning they like to cop out and say "In tHe InDuStRy. . ." this and that to excuse it. LIke mythology should be at the beginning it's stupid. and there are a lot more things they should have been teaching in some of the earlier classes in the design program because I saw a lot of students struggle, when IGD was literally placing assets in a world space. Not hard. half the games I play are literally doing just that. They could have been slowly introducing blueprints much much earlier.
That's my favorite saying.. "In tHe InDuStRy.." LOL I heard that a lot! If you don't do more than the bare minimum you will get behind tbh the best of the best go out of their own way to seek more knowledge and experiences in order to make their education worth it.
My main complaint is the sharing of classrooms. There are empty classrooms all over campus, but they SUCK at managing and planning where classes go. It's stupid working on lab when I have 20 obnoxious kids in the back goofing off.
Scheduling with classrooms changing around all the time does suck! One time my entire class showed up to a classroom and sat down with an instructor who wasn't even our instructor.. then he realized he was in the wrong classroom at the wrong time and our actual instructor didn't even realize it LOL
The administration is a pain in the ass to deal with, get a hold of for things, but the game curriculum is pretty solid. The PROBLEM is they allow too many end users that have never touched a computer accepted into the program.
I've heard the same thing but I have never had any issues at all communicating with anybody online, phone, or in person. I 100% agree that there needs to be more of a challenge to getting accepted into this university for a few reasons but mainly so you can ensure those who do get accepted are serious about their careers. It's all about your own effort with how much you can get out of it!
@@pauljohnson6019 Nobody is wearing orange shorts in this film.. also what is your definition of gay? just to make sure that I answer your question correctly
Cool video! Depending on the time of year citrus can be inundated with water. Luckily there are bypasses for each hole. This has to be mt favorite wheeling spot in FL.
I completely agree, I went during a dry time but I wouldn't dare during the rainy season. As for the bypasses, even those can get pretty beat up and muddy. Checked out your channel would love to see you check out Citrus for a future video!
Damn I know I’m kinda late for the video but I really appreciate the fact you went out of your way to show more about the sportscasting program I really appreciate it and this answered a lot of questions. This gave me more passion and more of a drive to go to full sail now. Don’t thank enough
Heck yeah boss! I think this video would've been so dope if I had around before I attended as well. I talked to all the students and they gave me a great perspective to share with you. I hope it makes your decision making as to what fits your life better and your career ambitions. If you haven't yet when you get an opportunity schedule a visit for one of the monthly BTS tours because you'll be able to really see the school and all of the stuff they offer.. they put on a big production too!
@@anotherfilmerthat is the plan for this summer actually it’ll be my first time going to the campus and actually experiencing all they have to offer with my own eyes. Honestly can’t wait cause like how I mentioned before I have been following this school since I was in 6th grade and next year I’m a senior so I’m almost there. I’m very excited ngl for the program and for the launchbox 😂. But would like to ask how was the admission process from your experience. Like signing up for the school and stuff like that. Would be a big help also. I really appreciate all the help
Hey man I graduated from film MFA 2017. I took full advantage of full sail and it paid off tremendously. I was the Advanced Achievement Award winner at graduation and didn’t even know I was being recognized. Your instructors are paying attention! Strive to be the best in your cohort, stay focused, enjoy your Orlando and enjoy your cohort. Those are the most important people to your time there. Blessings!
