Victory motorcycles on the Australian used market aren't expensive, I purchased a Highball with 25k kilometres for $10K AUD. which is good buying in my opinion. The Aftermarket will continue the parts supply just the same as obsolete make bike owners have souced spares for decades

This guy is asking for a fuel gauge on a supersport, lmao. Most sport bikes don't have one, good morning bro. They are intended for track use and are homologated to the bare minimum necessary to have them road-legal in most parts of the world. Fuel gauge is definitely something you DONT need on a track bike. If you choose to commute or travel on a supersport, you're actively choosing to handicap yourself in many ways, so don't complain about it. Don't like it, get a proper road bike. Features like Traction control is something you could use on a track, on bad weather conditions. Fuel gauge is never required. Apart from that, good video/overview of the two bikes :)

My experience: Flatplane: not happy under 4.5k rpm's. Rocket ship on the top-end. Ram air effect noticeable above 100mph. Street-legal race bike. Crossplane: castrated motor from out the box. Needs a tune immediately. But more linear power. Happy everywhere in the rev range, especially from 5-8k rpm's. Heavier bike and stock suspension is awful.

And you got it wrong about the CCV box the CCV box on the 11 through 16 are non-serviceable. You don’t have no filters in them. It’s the 17 and up that have it the 17th through 20s I believe or 19 and then they fix that and went back to the old style like the ones from 11 to 16 from like the 20s and up.

@JT2JZ
@JT2JZ 7 дней назад
What kind of issues is your bike having just out of curiosity? Anthony will fix you up no problem.
@brucarp80
@brucarp80 7 дней назад
The tune itself was never really done. The throttle is the same. Engine braking is the same. The only thing that I can tell was done is that RPMs were raised and that the pops and bangs were added. After the tune, I added an IRC quickshifter and auto blipper. Well apparently you can’t have the Moore mafia pops and bangs tune and have an auto blipper. The bike will throw you forward and almost off the bike if you don’t use the clutch on downshifts. After spending months trying to figure out why the bike does that on downshifts, Chris put out a video showing the same the happening on the ZX-10 with the auto blipper. If I never seen that video, I’d never have figured out why my bike would shift like that. I contacted Chris and he confirmed that I’d have to send the ECU back to be relashed. That’d be another $125 on top of the $100 for the pops and bangs to be added originally. After hearing about Anthony at Bauce, I decided it’s best to cut my losses and let Anthony fix my bike.
@brucarp80
@brucarp80 3 дня назад
So I was wrong. Moore Mafia tune was actually really good. It was just all raw power. The throttle was set up different as well. The Moore Mafia tune was way better at low end power with a lot of engine braking. The Bauce tune is a lot more “clean” feeling. Almost no engine breaking and the power is all at the top of the RPM range. The bike used to come right up in 1-3 gear w a snap of the throttle. Now it does not. When I launch, the front tire stays down and by the time I hit 6k RPM the bike picks up a lot of power. The bike likes higher RPMs now. To be honest, I don’t know which tune I like more. I love the torque from the Moore Mafia tune but I also love how clean the bike feels now. And the auto blipper works perfectly now as well. I’m sure Moore Mafia could have fixed my issue. I was just mad that I didn’t know about the pops and bags tune messing with the auto blipper and that it was going to cost more money to get “fixed” it again, I am man enough to admit I was wrong. And I was way wrong!
@JT2JZ
@JT2JZ 2 дня назад
@brucarp80 I do agree about the Moore mafia tune torque down low. I got my gsxr1000 snow bike tuned by Moore mafia and it’s crazy responsive down low. Just waiting for some snow to take that bike out and test it more. Chris Moore has always been a Suzuki guy so I think my gsxr tune will be pretty solid!

Just a few days ago I ran across a victory motorcycle that had a aftermarket S&S complete engine on it. So that told me that even if you’re low on options with victory brand parts to maintain and repair the bike, the aftermarket definitely has you covered. So even though the motorcycle is not produced anymore, it’s still a very popular & common motorcycle that parts will surely be plentiful for many years to come.

issue 1: hard starting. this is usually caused by a faulty pick up. basically easy to start, not a feature of the crossplane crankshaft. issue 2: the level indicator in the oil sump does not work correctly, but I have heard that the size of the oil return hole in the cylinder head is not sufficient. this should lead to insufficient lubrication, since the pressure in the crankcase is probably too high due to the blowby gas, and therefore the oil level will be lower at high revs, but I have not experienced this. it's a sports bike. sport bikes usually don't have a fuel level indicator. if it lights up, you refuel. there is no difference in performance between the modes, you only change the throttle opening speed with std, A, B mode. it always jumps back to std mode so that there are no surprises due to the aggressiveness of A mode. the hydraulic clutch would again add weight and require more maintenance and be more expensive. it would be of almost no benefit. the clutch should not slip even when hot. a typical phenomenon is the breaking of the clutch hub. at the same rpm, the v4 engines are also clumsy up to 3000 rpm, it has nothing to do with the balance of the crankshaft. the crossplane engine actually has the same ignition sequence as the vfr, and the v4 behaves very similarly.

I've already hit the speed limiter, which kicks on at about 115 mph on 6th gear, nevertheless I'm getting the feeling my sled likes to cruise at 5th gear most of the time, unless you have a long stretch of asphalt without too much traffic in front of you, then you engage the overdrive. She can cruise at 5th gear hitting 110 mph pulling really hard and raising hell with that triple displacement v-twin sound and staying there for miles. Cheers! 🍻🍻😎😎

Here's a thing. I have an option to get a 2013 RSV4 Factory for a great price. My only issue is that after owning Japanese bikes all my life the cost of maintenance and parts are so much higher that it makes me think twice. The bike in question is in perfect with no indications that it is going to need a major service but still... I do want it real bad though.
@JT2JZ
@JT2JZ 24 дня назад
I completely understand. I had the same mindset when I bought this RSV4. My advice would be stick to one with low kms and as close to mint condition as you can find. Personally I wouldn’t be comfortable owning one with over 30,000kms for that exact reason. My RSV4 currently has 15,500kms. Knock on wood but my RSV4 has been flawless so far and I have genuinely enjoyed the past few years with it. Great value and performance for the price. Honestly my 2012 R1 was the most problematic bike I have ever owned ( one of my favourite to ride though ) it started seeing issues around that 25000km mark. Any bike can have issues. Keep on top of maintenance and you should be ok. I think the internet blows the reliability issues out of proportion a little bit on Italian bikes.

The g32sst is a very good turbo. The issue was the intial design. Then guys would hop them up and spin the bearings out of them. Not allowing your turbo to cool properly after use will destroy any turbo. Using bad oil, or using fords recommended oil change intervals will destroy any turbo. Guys overfuel these trucks like crazy, the cp4.2 can handle up to about 600hp before is starts really loosing its longevity. They cavitate with these horrendous tunes, and combine that with sulfer less diesel and youve got planned obsolescence. Ive owned and worked on idk how many cars trucks tractors semis ect... and the 6.7l powerstroke for a light duty truck is an excellent purchase. Dont over tune them, delete them, and treat them like they were ment to be, with respect. Anything outside of that was a problem with the inital assembly, which is extremely rare.
