Hi there, I'm Marcie! I'm a professional voice actor from the United States, and a writer - and this is NezumiVA: A RU-vid channel where I regularly make essay video content about various subjects of entertainment, old and new! From anime, to video games, to western cartoons, to films or even books or comics! It's all a part of my wheelhouse. I also occasionally do more traditional review segments, some side series content, and some casual game playthroughs with my friends. I hope you enjoy your stay!
The fact this VOD has a second headcount made me wanna check back on the previous headcount, and I noticed something... Natsuhi is nowhere to be seen in that first headcount. AND Nanjo is nowhere to be seen in THIS headcount!
This game really picked the weirdest “signs of lying” to be perceived. They could have had things like characters biting or picking their nails, messing with parts of their outfit, facial expressions, tapping their fingers, etc. But instead, they chose things like swallowing and sweating, which are completely normal things people do, especially when they’re in a stressful situation like court.
I didn't realise this video was 11 hours until I started watching and realised it's basically a walkthrough😭have I played the game alread? yes. and I still going to sit through this video? also yes.
I knew I hated the Big Top OST, but I did not expect to have such a visceral reaction when it played throughout the Big Top section of the video. No music has had such a viscious reaction come out of me before LMAOO it was almost painful 😭
Beatrice quoting Batler specifically when she is talking about how love sucks is really suspicious… HOW? idk yet but is it would be so funny if she was fond of him tho not even talking romantically
Even i never personally saw either Pheonix or Edgeworth as actually gay (just didn't really see it to be honest, and some of the fan material can sometimes be pretty disturbing), i still like when (good) jokes are made with this idea, and you certainly deliver ! Also, great retrospective series
If I take the "Beatrice is a reflection of whoever sees her" theory, does that mean that all of her tricks can be seen as plausible if you simply don't believe in her like Battler does? However, everyone including Battler saw her once they had no other idea on how someone other than a witch could do the killings
"Without love, it cannot be seen", interesting how Kinzo of all people cannt see Beatrice again. A part of me believes there is something more sinister to him, that his need/want for Beatrice to be seen again isn't out of love, but some ulterior motive. But what? Also interesting that Kanon, someone who claims he cannot love, can see Beatrice, but cannot see the blue of the sea. The "without love, it cannot be seen" line when it comes to te ocean makes it sound like willing dispositions, like optimism and pessimism. But with Beatrice, maybe its subconcious feelings. What's also interesting is that the color of the sea is only a reflection of the sky's color, so maybe the precense and attitude of Beatrice is a reflection of the individual who sees her. If you are kind and caring, she will be kind and caring in turn. If you seek vengeance towards her, she will seek vengeance back at you. But what about Kinzo? Beatrice is everything to her, but in return, Beatrice appears as nothing to him? I don't know
I've been really enjoying Umineko so far! I think Battler's conversation with Beatrice at the end takes place in the same universe as the tea party, so the tea party world and the "real" world are completely different. That's why Beatrice using magic in the tea party world doesn't mean Battler will believe her magic in the "real" world. In addition, I heard Umineko has meta elements, so maybe Battler is playing a video game Beatrice created? Idk, that sounds dumb. Either way, I am completely stumped on how the murders could be real unless there are multiple killers, but then you gotta ask: what about the ice picks!? Also, for Kinzo leaving the building, he could have jumped off and either survived by landing in the water, or died and someone else messed with his corpse. Perhaps he didn't wanna live a live without Beatrice. That'd be really tragic Ah man, I am also so stumped whenever Beatrice exists in the "real" world. Can it really be hallucinations? I mean, a 19th person can't be real because Kinzo can't see her. Unless, It's kinzo with the hallucinations of... *not* seeing her?
my current theory (i am anti-fantasy): the witches are metaphorical embodiments of the desires of people, ways to explain things they can't understand - particularly children such as maria. they mentally create these magical occurances in an attempt to cope with their reality. the power of "magic" is the power of imagination. this also further explains why most of the witches seem to act like kids - because they are IMAGINED by kids.
while watching at first I didn't notice that you were saying Beatrice differently from how I've always heard it. I was wondering what the reason was...? /gen /lh (just autistic and would like further info on it cause it intrigues me :3c)
Can't remember precisely where, but it is mentioned somewhere in the stream! The reason is that the Beatrice in Umineko canonically has her name pronounced, even in the JP audio track, the way you would pronounce the name in Italian. (Though, of course, since it's also spoken in Japanese, this adds an 'o', like "bey-uh-TOH-ree-chey" , which is where her nickname "Beato" derives from.) The Italian pronunciation is intentional, as a reference to Beatrice from the Divine Comedy/Inferno.
I don't know anything about this game either. First impression from the first ten minutes: it's like they decided that Apollo got mixed reviews because he wasn't gay enough after Phoenix and Edgeworth, so they made Athena SUPER gay. Like, wow, honey you got it bad.
I think opinion on it is split but personally I think the line art looks kinda lazy and the the shading makes them look quite flat, which is usually discouraged when you're learning how to paint. personally the apollo justice hd is my favourite but yeah, looking at aa fan spaces people seem really mixed
2024 about 1 month ago ish. I finally bit the bullet and got this game on switch. I had heard about these games and knew about them but never got it cause tbh Im kinda stupid. I didnt think id be able to solve / get to the ending. But after playing it i was surprised with myself that i was actually able to finish the 1st game with minimal game overs. (The 3rd and 4th trail was frustrating) I loved it and it was so satisfying to get things right and figure out whats going on. Will be getting the other games when i get the chance.
that ending abt scotts donations hit me like a ton of bricks i did remember seeing those make the rounds and i was (as a member of the gay mafia) devastated and honestly super bummed to see it, youre right it does hurt a bit to give money to someone who then gives that money to people who think you shouldnt exist ;-; anyway great video and youre wrong the best fnaf song by TLT is its been so long yes its overplayed but its iconic.
To be honest, I think the reason for the developers making Mia swoop in on the second case was to show that Phoenix needs to try and handle himself without his mentor, and this was her giving him a little push towards independence, even if the evidence she gave him was a bit sloppy.
The algorithm has belsses me with another fantastic channel to binge watch!! This video is incredibly well made, things like using vr footage to provide relevant subtitles and keep the visuals interesting are subtle but create a fantastic viewing experience
Saw another comment saying otherwise, but I WOULD recommend playing the DLC case between 2 and 3 because it seems to be where it was initially intended, but mainly because there is a character introduction there that is obviously meant to be the first appearance of a character in the game.
2:11:10 I do have a sort of explanation to this. Throughout Rise of Ashes, Edgeworth makes numerous comments that he saw a board of inquiries or some form of higher management that constantly reprimanded and confronted him throughout the case. It's possible that due to how defense attorneys are considered underdogs, the fact Phoenix's client just ran away coincidently after he was exposed, and how this evidence was considered to be key definitive evidence in the trial, I could see Phoenix getting the axe so ruthlessly
i really really enjoy these so much, thank you for all your hard work! I do want to mention that your volume is on the quiet side. every episode is, and i'm okay with it, but when you yelled as erika during the locked window scene it hurt really bad. i have to turn up my volume when watching your vods, and i've been fine with it! it's just, maybe when you do yells, could you please maybe be a little away from your mic? i feel maybe your room makes your voice echo a lot, so it ends up being very quiet, but when you yell, it just makes the volume go from 20-100. I hope this doesn't sound rude. Again, thank you very much for doing these! I've always wanted to experience umineko, but wanted someone to voice act it so i can draw or do other tasks on the side. thank you again!
Fair enough! I could definitely try to get a bit more distance when I get louder. It's just been kind of tricky figuring stuff out with the different mic and room setup.
@@NezumiVA ah and that’s completely understandable! It’s only happened this once with the Erika yell ☺️. You agian do amazing work! This was just one time it was a little bit too loud haha. I hope you have a great day! Thank you for providing your voice for this, this really allowed me to get into umineku 🌸
Ngl, this plan of Kinjo’s is probably the first time I’ve ever agreed with him. Especially since things were that desperate. If I were in that situation, regardless of Monokuma’s rules, I would probably have made a similar decision. Anything faster than starving to death would have been my choice. 😅
I get that Kotoko’s hypersexual behavior contrasted with her young age is uncomfortable to watch but. That happens in real life. That’s how many children including myself react to trauma. And I probably wouldn’t have run into the arms of so many dangerous older creeps if the adults who should’ve taken care of me hadn’t been so self-absorbed and focused on how uncomfortable my trauma response made them
No yeah, I should’ve been a bit more in detail about that in particular. I mainly take issue with the game making light of and making so many jokes about the subject.
The only thing I like about Kokichi is his consistency; even his character depth is nothing more than a lie by writers who wanted another Nagito Komoeda without having to write another Nagito Komoeda.
