80s cartoons did not have likeable characters or good writing. Most of the time the characters are completely forgettable, the dialogue is incredibly clunky, and a lot of stuff is incredibly contrived. Not to mention that a lot of them have really bad voice acting.
My biggest question after the finale was what were they charging the director with to have him arrest? Shooting at fake people? Trying to take down a villain and save a town? Trying to revive a robotic superhero?
I’ve only watched the intro so far but I totally agree, snapdragon and Amaryllis do not deserve this show. They could have a show all to themselves and it would probably be great
I love it whenever in Spiderman comics or batman comics cops are given respect, because they aren't super, they don't have high tech gear or ninja training. Yet still they risk their lives and try to help, cops and fire fighters should be seen as heroes. Its sad that a few bad apples spoiled the bunch because I know the majority of them are good people who do want to help, since they aren't doing it for the totally awesome and not shit at all pay.
I wont lie i lowkey actually liked it up until the 3rd season , it was different , the action was amazing , the actors were clearly putting in alot of effort to be apart of the fight choreography, the chemistry was great , the acting was grear the show had a super stylized look , especially in the dream sequences , jason and nightwing were the best parts of the show they both killed those roles i was genuinely invested in both their arcs even jasons relationship drama with rose , i feel like if the show had just focused on them i could of been amazing but they tried too many different things and Rachel qas just oo uninteresting for me to stay invested as well as starfires sister subplot or Connors whole situation, honestly even hawk and dove were more entertaining than anything rachel or starfire was doing , the show definitely had potential but focused on the wrong things combine with dragging out those wrong things to meet the number of eps required per season
This show could've worked if it wasn't for the dialogue and voice acting. Also, they couldve left out the word transgender. If he just said "Yeah, I was." And left it at that, it would've made that scene more natural
It's such a shame. I really liked him as Dick and how he portraied him although he was missing pretty much all of the character's charm and lightheartedness he has in the comics😢
Wandavision was going strong before that final act. The fact they still tried to portray Wanda as a hero after all of that was the worst part of the entire show.
I said it before and I'll say it again, this has been a problem since Infinity Bore curb stomped a decade of storytelling to try and make A MASS MURDERING PSCYCHOPATH seem sympathetic when all he REALLY did was fart out idiotic strawmen arguments to try and excuse his actions as 'the only logical choice in the matter' when his so-called ''""logical actions''"" amounted to nothing more than a one-time drop of the hammer on half of all life in the cosmos
I love your stuff, Dave, but I wish you had a different avatar. Brown + hell with black hole eyes are too much. Either way I'll still watch, but if you wanted to change up stuff, I would appreciate it.
Free episode idea that would've made more sence: MC finds old picture of lecturer, sees a young girl, determined to find out who young girl is for plot reasons, she finds a potion and drinks it, turns into a man! The potion somehow ends up in a punch bowl or water supply or sum shit, and the whole episode is a gender swap episode. Lecturer discovers what happened, makes an antidote, returns everyone back to normal, gives MC more lore on their origin and why they became a man, but whaaaat! One of the side characters wants to stay as their new gender! That way episode still feels like it had a point and wasn't filler, done! There are a ton of plot holes and inconsistencies but that took me 3 minutes to write without thinking too much, im sure a room full of writers could think of something coherant and follow the plot
The “can’t I” part during her argument with Vision really sold the deal she’s past the point of heroism and to me was when I realized she might not be a good anymore. Like how u gonna threaten the man you started all this for?😂
i think i hate high guardian spice so much that i've actually began to love it. Its so janky and stupid, its like the Gmod of cartoons. Because of how rediculously janky it is it's given me so many laughs, because of that its really hard for me to hate it. It is by far one of the worst show i've ever seen, and that's why it's so special. It's one of a kind, and there will never be another show like high guardian spice. No show will ever be this comically awful.
Sage’s New Magic issue not coming out of the blue AND a character questioning whether it’s possible to pass without using it?! You must have such a huge budget to come up with these ideas…
I can see what they were TRYING to do with the school. Obviously the writers all grew up loving Harry Potter, though of course they'd never admit it now because... you know. But it's VERY clearly inspired from that, as well as from anime like Little Witch Academia and My Hero Academia, where schools teach magic abilities to children. Harry Potter and MHA especially can explain why some parts of the curriculum are dangerous, because they take place in extremely dangerous worlds where there are genuine monsters that will try to kill not only the children but basically everyone. They are going to face danger either way, so they need to be prepared for it. They just completely fail both at communicating the danger of the world, and fail at being aware of how absurd it is that kids are dying at the school. Just acknowledging it, grieving a deceased student in one of the classes, would've given it more depth, maybe it could be contrasted with a monster attack to the school or whatever, showing that the threat is real and that is why they must become strong. Also the crazy potion teacher lady is clearly an attempt at being a Severus Snape character, someone who at first comes off as initially hostile and scary that all the kids fear, but eventually they'll learn the teacher's good sides, how powerful they are and how important they can be to the good cause. But again they just completely fail at this characterization by not making her intimidating, but just turning her into a psychotic bully. This show is such a hilarious train wreck.
I can't get over how the pink hairs girl mouth is so big and expressive but the VA does not match that energy at all. It feels like a really lazily done dub, but no this is who they chose to do the voice. I don't really blame the voice actor it's more an issue with casting or animation director.
People defending Wanda seem to think that characters who hurt people for their own benefit (in this case the people being a whole town and the benefit being the fake husband and kids) are not the villains lol
Here’s a list of problems with The Titans 1. The characters are all unlikeable. 2. Trying way too hard to be dark and edgy. 3. A lot of fan favorite DC villains and heroes were butchered. 4. The Pacing is a mess. 5. The heroes do nothing but angst about their problems. 6. The costumes look cheap. 7. Beast Boy’s powers were also butchered. 8. A lot of death scenes were stupid. 9. Over use of the dark cinematography where it’s hard to see. 10. The fight scenes are mediocre. 11. The heroes always end up breaking the number 1 rule, never kill a bad guy. 12. It did not respect the source material. 13. The over use of swearing, especially the F word.
