Hello! On this channel I like to talk about thoughtful video game collecting & sharing my journey towards curating my shelves. I also like to chat about the games I've been playing & other gaming related topics with reflective discussions every now and then :)
I'm currently collecting for the Nintendo Switch, PS5, PS4, 3DS, PS Vita, DS, PSP, GB/GBC/GBA, and select gaming related figures. I love collecting for numerous genres but JRPGs & Visual Novels have stolen my heart the most.
Please do NOT contact me with trade, sale, or gift inquiries. I have no plans to open a public P.O. Box for viewers to send me things. If you have any business inquiries please see my business email below.
If you successfully figure out how to narrow down a “list of games” you want… please share it lol! With everyone “hidden gems” video I watch my list continues to grow 😖 Game on Emily ✌
I have actually been on a ps4, 360, and switch games buying freaking spree!!!! You guys definitely need to get a Alan wake 2 physical, IT WILL be worth money someday
Don't forget to buy hardware, controllers specifically. People underestimate controllers going out of print, but it happens every console gen, and it really sucks when you need one years later. To this day, I can only find knock off PS3 controllers, and PS4 controllers are in the same boat.
I'm pretty sure we talked about this, but I can't remember what you said -- have you played Undertale at all? I think I remember you saying you didn't find the art style appealing, but that's all I remember from the conversation...😅
I am worried about the future of physical collecting games. I am a person who likes to own my games, and I feel more and more every day that they are trying to phase out physical games and movies.😊
Just got fire emblem three hopes and fate samurai remnant for switch as an early birthday gift most definitely playing both going into my birthday next Tuesday
I really want to check out Gnosia!!! The premise is super interesting. ALSO, omg, I can't use nice stationary, I always feel so bad and then it just sits there LOL
You'll want to be careful about assuming first party Nintendo games won't go out of print too quickly. There's a list of at least a dozen games that are already out of print, including some fairly well regarded titles like Fire Emblem: Three Houses. Also, I'll happily take Atlus overprinting compared to years of scrambling to try to get my hands on a copy by hook or by crook. Particularly since they're one of the only devs that consistently makes games that are thoroughly in my wheelhouse (monster collection and DRPGs, so your SMT and Etrian Odyssey series for example).
thanks for making this. I forgot how much I got for selling my snes, gbc, dc, psx, nes, genesis games. I got unicorn overlod a bit back - it was half off. I haven't played it yet but it looks great online, I like NIS games and also The Trails games. I would havev a similar list. I've slowly getting them all on pc ps4 and switch. I am gettings the series spread across systems whenever they are on sale. I own harvestella, it is not a game that I would put in my switch top ten games. I haven't started my copy of prime remaster. I'm waiting to beat the other disgae games before I get seven. I plan to get it on a platform where it's on sale digitally - eventually. I'm interested in the Yakuza series style of comedy. Also the amazon list is useful and good for what I'll get during the amazon sale. The metal gear games on switch are worth it - even though the release got mixed reception due to the old gfx and screen style, It work well and looks right coming out the switch.
Great video! Random - where do you primarily play on? (Ps5, pc?) My love for the switch + ps5 combo has rekindled and I’ve been thinking of rebuying games I bought on pc and steam deck on my switch instead. Something about the switch just feels different
We're post pandemic so games wont be getting ridiculously expensive. Scalpers will occasionally try to buy up stock but companies will be making more eventually so they are stupid to keep buying more when they get stuck with the stock they cant sell
The insight on console life cycles and how historically things have looked for physical games is super helpful thank you! Ever since the whole 3DS eshop situation I’ve been on this whole collecting game journey for JRPGs and other similar game genres you mentioned so I don’t look back and wish I got them when they were fairly priced lol but yes always just games I plan to actually plsu
I'm glad you made this video, I been picking up a lot of ps1 2 and 3 games lately to play but I finally picked up Fate Samurai Remnant for Switch looking to get Goblin slayer nightmare fest next
David; Larry, Judy and anyone listening truly needs to go carnivore. Everything truly is about what we know/are exposed to - and then what we do with what we know.
Love the YS series both on switch and older consoles. Managed get my hand on a Boxed with manual version of YS 3 for sega genesis for like dirty cheap 20 euros original.
