Hi there! one small correction; the distance is not measured from the rear element but from the film/sensorplane, it has a symbol on the camerabody that has a horizontal line through a circle, the distance is measured from the line. This lens also carrries a secret; if you pull out/push in the focussing ring you can make focussing stiffer in case the camera is pointing down on a tripod.
Intriguing topic for a video! I guess growing up the daughter of an AV engineer (and now following in his footsteps), I have never liked earbuds nearly as much as full-on, over-ear headphones. But I'm still curious enough to watch this. 🙃 I personally use noise cancelling Sony headphones that are both Bluetooth and wired. (The cable can be plugged in or removed.) Just a random note - Whenever my contractors test our setup for an event, they tend to use songs by Led Zeppelin and Boston and then some random pop songs.
Yeah over the ear headphones are still the best. I have my Sony XM5s for travel and wired Sennheiser 660s for editing at the desk. That reminds me I need to listen to some Zeppelin and Boston today...
I think I land where you did. The simplicity, weight, and recessed screen that's that little bit extra sharp. I too prefer to just have a reading light.
No, you don't need these lenses. EF 70-200 IS II/III can now be found at a very good price and it is a more honest instrument, without the crazy vignetting of a wide-angle lens and with a one-piece design without trunk (hey, we used to overpay for this, it was a feature and not a bug for almost 30 years) 50 1.2 is simply a waste of money. This is nothing more than a way to encourage Canon megalomania. EF Sigma Art will do a great job, and can be found for a third of the cost. There is also tokina - even better. You don't need record sharpness along the edge if there is 2v vignetting on that edge. This is not a tool, this was their way of showing off with the new system in 2018. The proposed wide-angles are kinda ok, but not the best value. EF 16-35 4 IS - very balanced lens from the golden era, can be found at a great price. Again, modern lenses are designed to be amazing at sharpness charts along (very dark) edges at an open aperture - absolutely no one needs this in their work. What is this video all about? To recommend the most obvious and expensive lenses that Canon itself recommends and wants to sell? What's the use of this video? If it doesn't exist, people won't get lost like "uw, we can’t figure out if 50 1.2 is worth it”? These are not some hidden gems or anything. This is what Canon is rushing to the market with and what they want to make money on.
Kindle 11 5.56 oz (158 g), Kindle Paperwhite 5 7.23 oz (205 g) not even close to being half the weight also for the record Kindle Paperwhite 4 is 6.4 oz (180 g) also without ads its $40 more for the paperwhite
My iPhone SE can make better photos than my iPhone 15😭🙏 I changed some settings on the iPhone 15 and didn’t do anything on my iPhone SE. and The SE won😭🙏🙏🙏
Informative. Looking to upgrade my partners Kindle which I just found out today is a 4th generation…I’ll save you the homework. It came out in 2011. lol. You’ve helped me make my choice. She’s more practical. No reason why the standard Kindle 11th gen isn’t sufficient enough for her needs. Thanks for doing this review mate. Cheers!
I used to consider myself a member of team Brand and Canon fanboy-ish person. But I realized it might not be a bad idea to have a photo buddy shooting Nikon. It just eliminates so many awkward moments when you get asked to lend a lens :D
for me the experience you mention of the device "fading off" like iw not there is the most important, I bough the oasis and after 25- 30 min I am just fed up because it feels a little uncomfortable and as minutes of reading session accumulates and just want to stop... I also had an old basic kindle and is more easy to forget what I am holding and get inverse on the actually book. I think best kindle now is the basic because of the weight and size.
Need to lay everything out on table with camera on table as you talk. By the time you go to the next item, I forget what you showed previously. The video is about the items not you. I have no idea why youtubers show themselves more than the subject of the video.
I tend to lose and scratch my sunglasses a lot and finally had a brilliant idea: bulk tinted safety glasses from the local hardware store. I think it was a pack of 6 for $20 or something like that. Once they get lost or damaged I am not crying over how expensive they are to replace. I reserve those tears for actual gear.
R5 shooter, my trinity of lenses is the RF100-500 because that’s all I could afford 😉. That said, I really, really like it. When I can afford two additional lenses it will be the 100 macro and the 14-35.
Love the aesthetic of the edc! I’m partial to power banks. Anker makes a small one that plugs in directly to the wall now and has a built in cable 👍🏻 not the cheapest option but sort of convenient. Slim MagSafe chargers are also great
Had the 24-70 2.8 dumped it for the 24-105 2.8, yeah pricey but for event its awesome that extra reach helps a lot. I consider it the new Trinty. Trinty 2.0 LOL Doing more portraiture for spring and summer might get that 85 1.2 since it's still the bokeh king.
I bought the paper white kindle for the bigger screen. I had been reading on my phone and noticed that the light was hurting my eyes, and the pages felt too narrow. But I also don’t like to buy too many new things. I bought mine 2nd hand and paid $78. Great condition. 11th generation.
I'm glad I've found someone that has appreciation for a solid Buck Knife. It's the first knife I ever got as a kid in Boy Scouts, and I've always had one since!
Thank you for reminding me of this! I did the devotional on Hallow this past year. Just added the book to the stack. Going to finish it before this year is up!
