Great video from you both, I wanna visit Ulverston one day looks a lovely little town plus I want to see the laurel and Hardy statue and visit the museum to
Love the Lake District and Laurel and Hardy. I don’t live too far from the Lakes but thanks for giving us reviews on where to eat and visit although I don’t think I’ll be staying in the caravan. 😂How about checking out where’s cheap to eat in the Lakes on your next visit- there’s a challenge for you- keep smiling 😃x
I'm rubbish at pub quizzes. I only ever knew an answer to a pub quiz once - 'Which one of the Wombles wore a bowler hat?' Everyone else in the pub quiz knew it too.
Well done Geoff - we've been to Ulverston many times - beautiful little place, but you were very lucky to see it in the sunshine - always raining when we visit!
Just took a quick look on the internet, the L & H statue was installed in it's current location in 2010 and there's no mention of any previous statues or locations.
That journey needs a 100-pound note coming in and a much lighter pocket coming out. Beers, food and train/boat fare all add up. The whole day was lovely from start to finish and the interior of the pubs is very pleasant. Good to catch the last boat back. Great choice of music starting at 13:58 where people are settling in on the boat.
