The badger that likes to make videos about gaming and other stuff. Pre-release stuff is always interesting, but I also like to share my opinions on other topics in gaming. Analyzing and looking (probably too) deep into certain elements is another hobby of mine that I get to exercise greatly through this channel. Enjoy!
IV is a true masterpiece. I still play it every day, but cause its pretty boring by default, I've installed some gang war script mods and I just play it every day after work like some counter strike type game. For me, IV is the best GTA cause it not only features realistic physics and non-precalculated car damage, but also the Euphoria which makes killing peds really enjoyable like some kind of ASMR
Songs that I want in GTA6 As many 70s-80s rock and pop songs as they can Some 90s dance music (such as Scatman by Scatman John or Macarena by Bayside Boys)
Saints Row 2 was the true peak of the series, and the best it ever was and ever will be. I first played it in 2012 and was blown away how amazing this game was, after playing 3 in 2011. I wish they stuck with the original formula instead of deviating from the source material in a desperate attempt to distance themselves being labeled as a "GTA clone" all because of some ignorant GTA fanboy backlash. They just dug their own grave and it just got worse as the series went on. It was one thing for the Saints, a criminal empire to become national celebrities and a corporation, but the sci-fi nonsense and random convoluted things really threw me off, such as actual real aliens in the storyline, an actual zombie Apocalypse, mass effect-like spaceship, becoming the president and blowing up earth, was really unnecessary and it was clear they're trying too hard to be different from GTA. In the first and second games, they really had their own interesting spin, on open world crime, and was actually distinct from GTA in many aspects besides stealing cars, blowing stuff up and robbing.
I wish they included the Shea Stadium or the Yankee Stadium at least. The lore explanation would be either they are there but in a different part of Liberty, or they were demolished before the game takes place.
The swearing limit definitely sounds like a scriptwriters choice. They probably didn't want the swearing to come off as unnatural or like you said ridiculous, even though GTA V 's story is blatantly an over the top satire.
I remember seeing release gameplay of a car being driven in the game. Then I remember an official trailer being released earlier that year and I was so excited but at the same time I had over 6 months left before the game dropped. The day it came out I picked up my preorder and went to work. I’m still on that job.
Think of it as a Die Hard situation. People kept saying that Die Hard is a Christmas film despite it being released in the summer, since the film takes place in the christmas season. Max Payne could be a christmas game despite it intially veing released in July.
I would love to see a radio station with mexican corridos tumbados and different corridos as well as a new reggaeton station and an oldschool 2000s reggaeton station along with other popular hits of the 2000s simply for nostalgia .
Serious question. Why do people expect royalties from voice acting roles? I doubt that if these games flopped they wpuld care. But in some of these cases, it seems like the actors are happy with what they were initially paid but then saw the success of the game, then care about royalties.
well going by the cycle gta 7 will be nyc with the original 3 cities idea it will be fun in 20 years when they finally release it. the limitations on console hardware is what was a main factor in limiting the map size since
I think I'm the only one who actually likes Saints Row 3? Idk I remember when I played it on the 360 I enjoyed the fuck out of it. It's probably cause I never played Saints Row 2 and when I finally did play it, it was the buggy PC port and I never got an Xbox to exprience it fully...
It was just a major downgrade from the previous two installments. Lack of ability to pick up objects, lack of interiors and Steelport was incredibly dull and boring compared to Stilwater. They went from gangs and crime, to full on comedy sci-fi nonsense which had nothing to do with the source material.
I would say it’s a combination of pretty much every major Midwestern city. (Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, St. Louis, Cleveland, and Detroit are the best examples. Especially Chicago, Detroit, and Milwaukee.
The thing about GTA is if you were making a movie, you’d have to be adapting the exact story from one of the games, because if you take away the videogame aspect of GTA, its just another crime film. GTA doesnt have too many thing that you could look at and go “Yep thats gta” aside from maybe some brands. Its like making a Call if Duty movie, you take away the videogame aspect and its just another war film, you’d have to adapt an existing story from one of the games.
