Gary has changed phrasing and his style over the years . Hes been doing this since the 70s. His actual singing voice hasnt really changed much. His voice is still strong.

im gonna really miss Big Red. i think he died in 2022 or 2023. No more big hair violin playing. I was wrong, big red died in 2021. still sorry for the guy though.
Gowan does an adequate job and all the instrumentation sounds great but I just can't get used to anyone besides Dennis De Young as their true lead . I understand all the bad blood between them all and don't blame the remaining members going on tour without Dennis it's a kin to Journey without Steve Perry sounds good but it's just not the same .
Nice version. I was very lucky to see Dennis in Toronto with his band do this. Deyoung sounded great! Gowan is good too! However, nobody sings this song like Dennis Deyoung!

Alice doesn't look very happy in this after seeing him with Zombie he was amazing and here he looks bored and at least with Alice the fans are a mix of young and older fans so i dont expect a pit or wall of death but even young people make shows unbearably boring no love no jumping no life just dumbasses with phones. Alice rules Serial Killer was my first dark album and I loved it.
Life is change, accept it as so. Lawrence Gowan has done an excellent job filling Dennis DeYoungs shoes. What do people expect? Gowan hits great notes high and low and excellent tempo. Quit living in the past people! Enjoy Styx! One of the great last bands from an era gone bye. Thanks so much to the members of this great band (past and present). Carry on, we love you all!
I've noticed a few comments under videos of a few of Gary's recent concerts saying how his voice isn't as good as it once was. The man will be 81 years old in a few months. He looks and sounds better than I do, a person who is considerably younger. Not a thing wrong with that man. YOU GO, Gary!!!!
This place looks so much like Pine Knob in Clarkston MI. That's where I saw them last night. It was pretty good but not as good as when Lou was with them. Kelly talked too much. With allof that talking and long solos they could have done a few more songs. Thanks for not zooming in and out.
As a long time Kansas fan but from Australia, I just found out that Ragsdale had left! Embarrassing. Impressed with Joe Deninzon here....excellent! They're gonna be OK!
Fun fact of the day. Less than 10 years ago the new front man was a dump truck driver in Chicago. Seen them in Peoria Illinois a few years ago, sounded great!!
