Beautiful!!! All the AC games have been a staple in my gaming career 😂 absolutely love them. Black Flag has to be my fave so far but Origins was good too.
It's not going to be all that authentic, they're going to take a rather Fictional take on Historical events and characters such as Yasuke, who was not a Samurai but a sword-bearer for Oda Nobunaga. I do not like Ubisoft taking liberties with Historical Events and Figures. People tend to consider the AC Games as historically accurate and will start thinking that AC Shadows is going to be an accurate historical Game when it won't.
The poin man is thats the whole point of assassins creed, because it historical fiction. It hs been like that since the first game yet some people are upsest with ac shadows. Meanwile most peple just want o enjoy the game, as it brings back many old features of the franchise
Isn’t the whole plot of Assassin’s Creed is that there are like ancient aliens and futuristic tech? That’s not super “historically accurate”. Ignoring that, there’s also tons of historical inaccuracies. In Brotherhood, Cesare and Lucrezia are in an illegal relationship. This, of course, never happened, but that’s fine because it’s okay to smudge the history to make the story more interesting. I mean what do you think sells better, “Yasuke, the African Samurai”, of “Yasuke, a retainer with a sword who was born somewhere in Africa”? Like bffr, this is nothing new.
@@mypantsarefilledwithbeans6508 Yes but that doesn't mean the Games aren't historically accurate, you know exactly what i mean. Besides, that whole "Ancient" deal in most Games was pretty subdued and only periodically mentioned, for the most part the Games were mostly respectful of Historical Timelines and Historical characters, and just "grafted" their Fictional characters and alternative plot lines to it. I'll admit i can't judge Brotherhood, 3, Black Flag, Unity and Syndicate, those came out when i didn't have a Console anymore, and my PC wasn't good enough to run them. I think what would sell better and not be purposefully controversial would be " *insert two random Fictional Japanese characters names* ". It's one thing to smudge History a little bit, and it's another thing to fictionalise an existing Historical figure and make up most of his Story. Because on one hand you have the absolute morons who pretend Yasuke never existed, but on the other hand you have all the other morons who are not going to make any research and think the Games are still Historically accurate and go on thinking that Yasuke was some super badass Samurai guy who changed the History of Japan. Personally i think that Historical characters make for very bad Protagonists in the Assassin's Creed games, and that Yasuke should've been an important NPC in the Game instead and an ally of the Protagonist, depending on how the story goes.
