Really good habit you are teaching your kid in the back seat. Out here in Australia, you can't have any of your body outside the vechicle. So yeh, good job teaching the kid bad habits.
That Samy is great. Maybe the best you have had to do this work. Huge rootballs. The helper has an orange shirt in the shade. Your camera turns it slightly green in the sunlight. I thought for a while you had two helpers till I kept track of them. You just caught that tree in time. Good job. Too bad for the bees durn it. So this job would be 5800 dollars.
The neutral from service still connected to the main panel creates a loop doesnt it? If grid power went down wouldnt the neutral from service still see power from load of the inverter?
Hahaha 🤣. Electricity. I was raised on a Michigan farm in the late 1940s and we didn't have electricity until I was 7. Lights have come a long ways - IS RIGHT. Nice video. I gave my RV to my daughter. I had a good run without all the fancy stuff.
Next time ya'll high center don't bother with the blocks, just lift it as high as it will go and leave the engine run until straightened out, especially on a train track with a train coming, it might save ya'll much grief. I have seen people get mangled and all they had to do is run the load up with the pony.
We have two cabins in the Western Adirondacks. Summer boating, fishing swimming. Winter snow mobiling. ATV's anytime weather permitting. Great locations. Are your lands in the Eastern Adirondacks? Very nice way of life.
First time ever I have seen a mech use an earth pick as a quick mechanical punch. Worked really fast so Jesse the unconventional thinker. Good on ya. I had a wild guy who worked like he was killing snakes and he was driving a punch to line up beams. I slid my thumb on the punch just as he was swinging a ten lb maul and he saw my thumb at the last second but I had quickly slid it off as the hammer approached. He thought he had mangled my thumb but that time I lucked out.
Let's see, the trailer is 19 and the excavator is 29 so that is already 60,000 lbs, 70,000 with skidsteer. this excavator is 3" wider than your trailer so all that is perfect even with high floatation tracks. Of course the bucket may be 3" wider than your choice but that moves more dirt. Ya'll are getting pretty good shifting that thing, better than Diesel Creek. So how much is the crane? With it of course it is the bulk more than weight. How high? In our state it is 14' 6" as that is how high our overpasses are. Of course you can pull off and go around a lot of them without even rerouting.
I think you can seal up the exhaust leaks with some of those muffler clamps that used bolt on either side with a cradle on the other side. Those things are much stronger pinching than regular circle clamps.
Hey Jesse you have probably fixed this at this point but make sure any time you are wiring up PV you use PV wire not THHN otherwise you will loose way too much voltage. Great install though.
Love your solar videos, its a big thing for my girlfriend and I, upgrading and expanding. Of course we've been watching your channel for years and years and always like seeing a new video from you
I see that cabin sitting there and wonder what the overall condition is and whether that could be a place to stay in and sleep in sooner than building another cabin? Is it pretty run down inside? Or been taken over by various types of critters? Another great video again, thanks for sharing all of these projects. It is cool to see it all happening. You're an inspiration.
Make sure when you mount the panels to the roof that you trim the trees so there is no shade on the panels during the day. Even 10% shade on a panel can cut the panel's gain by 50%.
Okay, Jesse. I have watched documentaries on the construction of nuclear power plant that have landed in my brain more solidly than what you're doing. Lol!! Not that you didn't explain it well, it is just a lot to absorb! Good luck!
Nice piece of fabrication. What welder do you use? It is a Lincoln but I cannot see which one. Seems like a small one but you can make pretty nice and heavy welds for this application.
Man there's gonna be a whole lot of fun up there I was in those mountains a long time ago ran into a adult male moose out there I didn't know it was a rare happening hell I saw a black bear with two cubs anyways Jessie thank you and your family for sharing y'all's life with all of us
Thanks Jesse, interesting video. I agree with you, I think a cabin (or cottage as I call them here in Ontario) is a much better option than a camper. From my friends and family’s experiences, campers often become mouse houses when you park them for a while. Mice can get in through a quarter inch crack and they sure make a mess, especially in clothes and bedding… and they can carry the Hantavirus, a very bad respiratory illness which can make you very sick or cause death. I cringe when I see RU-vidrs removing mice nests without respiratory protection. Having a cabin with a concrete substructure is a fantastic investment.
