Soy wax isn't natural either, it's made by the hydrogenation of soybean oil in the presence of a nickel catalyst. It's literally crisco, except crisco is only partially hydrogenated so as to not be as solid/hard. Beeswax on the other hand, is "natural" yet it produces more soot.
Burning paraffin wax candles does release some volatile organic compounds (VOCs) like benzene and toluene, which are known to be harmful in high amounts. However, studies show that the levels of these chemicals released by candles are typically too low to pose significant health risks under normal use. For instance, a 2014 study in the Journal of Regulatory Toxicology and Pharmacology found that scented paraffin candles pose no known health risks and that their emission levels fall well below World Health Organization exposure limits.

Harlem Candle Co - Macy collection. I purchased Luminary before it was on final sale. It was too strong for my taste straight out the box so I returned immediately. 34th Street I really like so much that while perusing HCC website I realized that it has the same notes as their Vintage Garden candle. HCC Nina candle was again too strong for me. I believe I just do not like Jasmine scented candles. I missed out on the Wiz candle and I pray it will come back on their website. #HCClover
