Love my SKS just Chinese nothing matches stock is beat up and grade two but it's never failed to fire accurate enough for deer hunting within range and awesome
As I remember, early Wby. Orion's were made by Beretta, so it makes sense the current Turkish guns are semi-clones. Of interest, Beretta Parallelo's are made, except for the barrels, by Fausti.
I recently purchased a blued 4.25 Colt python. Not sure if I’m just being too fussy, considering the price, but the cylinder release (that you pull) is a bit loose and jiggles around a bit. Is this normal?
I would not know anything special about the price difference, Other than ever since the democratic machine took over, everything's gone up... I read a lot about the bear cat in national rifle man magazines of the 1950 s to early 1960s. A practical meat getter at the time,,, for far better hunters then the now generation. I see the small size as a plus for a kit gun, Especially as close as we are to the almighty mushroom cloud,,, A democratic mindset thing. I'm getting a stainless bear cat because someone made some Siberian mammoth ivory grips, And i got them. Now i need a gun to put them on.. Guess all that reading at age 6, 7, 8 made an impression on My neurons ...
NO! I've been involved with black powder for decades. THEREFORE, NO! Unscrewing the barrel every time is bad for that little firearm, and it is a ''firearm'' (It's an ''arm'' & it fires__a reply said it's not a firearm=Wrong!), 1st, it scratches the rifling with the tool. 2nd, it will eventually wear out the threads 3rd, it takes much longer 4th, it is not necessary
I bought a Silver Pigeon in 20 ga - also on clearance for $1499 from the original $2450 price tag. About 6 months later, I bought a Weatherby Orion in matte blue, as I wanted a 12 ga too. Happy with both guns, but I almost wish I had an Orion in 20 ga instead of the Beretta. It feels or fits me just slightly better.
bought one today. very similar but roll marks are very poor. For example, a lot of the letters didnt get fully indented into the metal. For some reason it doesnt click and stay at half cock when using the lever action. has a a number 73 at bottom.

Do not believe that there is not a performance difference in .38 vs 357 in a 2” revolver. The difference is HUGE with the 357 leading ahead by a substantial amount. The 357 is simply a much more powerful round even out of snubbies. That being said, I carry a 38 Airweight 24/7.
I have known of aftermarket stocks that allow for 30 round magazines (specially designed) to be used, but I have never heard of the SKS-D that was designed to accept AK mags. Very interesting.
Though I have a number of Miroku rifles and they are high quality, I just can’t get over that ugly safety. Fortunately they didn’t do that to their 66 and 73 rifles, but their 86 and 92… just a shame imho.
I did not know it was once imported by Interarms, but I found out that it only was available in .380 after the war, the post-war production bein easily recognizable by the different stock pattern.
First your bigger size hands !other wise the price is close to the same is because of quality in a smaller size , workmanship !you can stick it in your pocket when your hand camping hiking fishing on the Creekbank it’s a perfect little revolver in 22 and just think if you had a magnum cylinder be even better small package small hands😊
