Yay! I've been dreaming of studying ballet since I was a little girl but my father didn't allow me. Now, that I'm 66 that long-time dream has come back. Wondering what should be the first basic move that I should follow. Just found your video. Thank you for sharing your talent. More power to you. Warmest greetings from the Philippines!
I so so so wish we had something like this in Phoenix Arizona. I am a former pointe ballerina. Injured in early 20’s and have since wanted to regain my skills but with nowhere that offers that sort of thing here.
I know it’s not the same as being in the studio, but my online program has everything from basics to pointe prep and beginner pointe classes that you can do at home. 🥰🩰🌸
I went to my first Lesson yesterday and were left incredible confused. Not believing, that I did anything wrong. Your videos are so basic, soothing and SLOW! (what I really need) that I really can get a feel for the Groundwork of Ballet, that I really not had in Class. Thank you!
I am an adult I used to learn ballet virtually from a teacher in 2020 till 2022 end and then left wanted to start again. Thank you so much for videos it helps.
Really enjoy your videos, very informative, articulate and broken down in a way that the student can understand. As a total novice with no ballet experience/background whatsoever this definitely helps. A little further day by day 🙏🏻
So glad you found my channel and that you are enjoying learning ballet! Yes, it's really a day by day kind of practice. You'll be AMAZED how much you will improve with a little time and dedication! 👏🏻🤗💖🩰
Looks easy on the eye but wow, very challenging indeed 😳. Couldn't quite get onto my tippy toes but I did get my heels off the floor lol 😆 Need to work on my 1st position I think
Thank you for the wonderfulness 🥰 You have the very nicest sign-off. Btw when you first mention "fingertips" leading to the next position, my elbows and shoulders stay stable but when I think "arms move..." I lose that grace that comes from the fingertips tracing the course.. this is all new for me! Always learning, tysm
I just love this video! 😍😍 Today I was looking at some of the amazing classes on your website and I hope that it will be possible for me to purchase them soon ❤🥳😍 but may I ask you a question.. As I was doing the workout and looked into the mirror I noticed that my (inner) thighs were sticking together (I'm a little bit overweight) it's like my legs are making a cut after the knee and now I'm super concentrate working on that problem.. Is there anything I can do to fix the problem? 🥰🤗🌼 Thank you for all your work dear Tiekka and have a great day 🤗🌼
Hi! So glad you enjoy my videos! I'm not sure what you mean about your inner thighs or "making a cut after the knee", but it sounds as if you may have some hyperextension of your knee joint. This is not a "problem" so much as just a physical/structural trait to work with. In fact, many dancers covet hyperextension because it creates a beautiful line of the legs and feet! That said, it can be harder to develop strength and alignment with this added bit of flexibility (if indeed it is hyperextension). But practice and awareness are the key to every ballet practice, so you can learn to work with it and make it into an asset. I don't know for sure if this is what is happening with your legs, but I hope it helps for whatever it's worth! Thank you for your kind words! 🙏🏻💕🩰
@@everydayballet thank you so much for your kind words and help; I really think this could be the cause and I'm happy now to be able to work on that 🥰🥳🤗 have a great and lovely day 🤗🥰
I’m 13, I had to miss a couple years of ballet for my surgeries but now I’m skipping straight to grade 5 bc that’s where I was when I left off. I’m just re teaching myself the basics
I am currently 14 and I have a really strong desire to do ballet like really,I thought I would need some proper classes but no! This video really has been so helpful and it encourages me so much!
Great instruction! I’m 44 out of shape and with my youngest in school now I am now taking a community college ballet class- this was *just* what I was looking for! Thank you for this video and looking forward to the next turn out and basic plié videos… I took a few cc ballet classes 25 yrs ago, so I remember a little. Now I really want to focus on technique so I can keep dancing as long as possible while getting more capable without injury, thanks again!
