I usually carry my travel kit with me & I forgot to add my ScleralFil while traveling. I used some BioTrue in a pinch. I was able to get some Refresh Celluvisc & was able to fill my sclerals for the weekend
New subscriber here. I'm learning about how yours worked out. I just had surgery recently for my cochlear implant. They active mine 7 days after my surgery. If I get to hear back from you, I have some important questions.
Hey, I also have one sided hearing loss. But tinnitus is just ruining my life for 12 years, It just made me isolated and lonely from the world. Did you have tinnitus with the hearing loss, is it helpful ?
YESSSS i am so excited to hear you got directional hearing back! My SSNHL hit two years ago and the most irritating thing for me is lack of directional hearing, so i'm pumped to learn i might get it again. Activation in one week, fingers crossed
I recently saw a video of you explaining how it went since the CI was placed on you and you said things that I needed to hear because I might need a CI myself in a few years. Im herring impeared since birth and now I’m almost 45 and my hearing is getting worse and worse. My doctor said to me that I might need a CI so I did some research to see what the benefits are. And I have to say you are the first person I saw that is excited about how it helped you. So I’m glad I saw your video. I will definitely sign in on your channel.

I’m sooo happy for you. I went ahead with my surgery because of you. I’m now just 4 days after activation and all sounds are garbled. Can’t understand anything 🥲 Listening to your updates lifted my spirits 🙏
Hi brother, did you ever get your left eye done? I have the same situation and my right eye is perfect or was. Just got cross linking 3 days ago and my right eye is so blurry im scared it wont get back to normal. They say it takes 1-3 months for vision to restore but these comments are worrysome. Did you ever get your other eye done?
I’m scheduled for CI surgery August 5th. I’ve had single sided deafness since 2022, so I’m very much looking forward to having that directional hearing again and being able to understand people’s speech better.
I was lucky. After surgery, no dizziness or pressure just felt different. took a month before they turned my non-everything is great can hear again. I recommended for anyone who has serious hearing problems. This is the way to go.

Fir some reason I'm struggling to open the other eye and constantly my eyes want to be closed. I cannot open the good eye that long without my eye forcing itself shut
My Implantat is 6 days ago. Weak but stabil. Got the first orders from my wife to help. In three days I try to work half a day. Greetings from Munich. Bavaria. Still avoiding our wonderful beer. 😞
Thank you for sharing these videos have helped us so much. My husband and I have found them very helpful. He is on week 3 of having the cross linking procedure. He has Kerecatonus in both eyes. His left eye is severe and needs a cornea transplant. The Dr did cross linking in his right eye to save his vision and freeze it so it does not continue to get worse. His recovery has been a bit harder due to having the cross linking on his good eye. He only has his bad eye to rely on. He is meat cutter and we dont know when his vision will come back for him to return to work. He has the scleral lenses for both eyes which he was fitted with about a year before surgery. They have been a miracle for him with gaining his sight back. We are currently just taking things day by day as recovers from the cross linking his vision is very limited due to only being able to see out of his severe eye.
Just had mine today still never slept 😒 its 4am now. I think i would rather have hot sauce in my eye rather than this. They only gave me drops nothing else no Xanax or anything. The ice definitely helps for sure but having my eyes open oddly feels better than closed
I'm looking into getting cross linking surgery. The really scary thing for me is I'm legally blind in my other eye. So I'm going to be pretty much helpless afterwards .
Thank you for your post and I’m very sorry you had to experience this loss. Just a week ago I experienced sudden sensorineural hearing loss in my left ear and I am now completely deaf in that ear. My right ear is functioning very well. I am considering Cochlear implant to address my left ear and based on your video and other research the sound from the implant will be quite different than my good ear. My main question is, when you are using both ears to listen, when sounds came from the implanted side, do they sound altered or does the functioning ear compensate and provide input to the brain to filter out the “robotic” sound from the implant?
from Cxl to cochlear tp thyroid removal all in 5 years, wow

Howdy, I just experienced total hearing loss last week in my left ear. I’m 64 and what a change to my life! I’m still on cortisone treatment to see if my natural hearing comes back but I’m not hopeful. I have spent considerable time looking at next options so I wanted to let you know I greatly appreciate the updates you have provided with your cochlear device. Please keep posting your progress reports, thank you again!
