It wasn’t given…it was earned. It’s the Super Bowl like you said. You think they would pick Kendrick if he wasn’t deserving. You sound out of touch. Might wanna go look deeper into his career bro.
@@kennydyer3034 what other Hip Hop Artist has ever headlined the Super Bowl?! I’ll wait! And y’all think this is normal! You 🧢🧢🧢🧢ing! It was given by a committee of people who want to make money through advertising! And not to mention the artist has to pay for all production cost! And they don’t get paid! So yes it was given not earned and that’s perfectly fine, let’s just stick with the truth.
@@maximusxxi you keep saying name another hip hop headliner. He’s the first. What’s your point? It’s the Super Bowl. A board or committee makes all the decisions because it’s business. Sounds like you’re focused on symbolism.
@@kennydyer3034 That’s my point he’s the first! Thats how big the Super Bowl is! Your too emotional about Kendrick to understand the logic! Not Even the top Hip Hop Artist in history has never even been considered for the Super Bowl! Times are changing, I’m just saying if we doing it like this can Travis or Future or any other dope Hip Hop Artist get a slot going forward?
@@maximusxxi I’m emotional? Not at all. You’re uninformed. You think being PALATABLE is the same as being BIG. Future promotes heavy drug usage and Travis had the Astroworld tragedy. Cross them off the list. Once again it’s the Super Bowl!! Not the BET AWARDS. Those guys are phenomenal hip hop artists and put on great shows but not for the Super Bowl.
So you think Kendrick isn't? Didn't he perform in LA SB and some people were saying his part was the most entertaining, his last global tour is the most glossed in hip hop, he headlined in Japan coechella 2023... And you think he isn't tangible? They go for the one hot that year... His amazon pop out show is the most streamed at Amazon and you think they wouldn't choose him? Have you seen his Mr Morale show in France? Kendrick is an amazing performer on stage... Those are just somethings that came to me off top..... Dude has a pulitzer the only one in hip hop and you think he ain't deserving?
Don't you want a hip hop artist to headline? And why wouldn't NFL get the one who is hot now, has the accolades(17grammies, a pulitzer price, an emmy award for the SB in LA, he has MTV awards, Brit award and more) he is an amazing live performer, his visuals are amazing they always have meaning to them, dude is perfect for a first hip hop performer..... Am not saying they aren't others but people thinking it's just because of the battle and thinking that Kendrick is just a smaller artist they are seeing this wrong...... Simple Google search will do good if you want to see all the achievements Kendrick has achieved....
Spot on, the "music industry" isn't out here cultivating artists. They don't create, they procure existing talent in attempts to taking advantage of the artists.
You make more sense than people give you credit for. I applaud you for not being afraid to speak your mind even if that means having an unpopular opinion 👏🏻👏🏻
Music has been devalued because it was given away for free! There is no way anyone is going to pay money for music today unless it is a legacy superstar artist or a major label industry plant artist.
What we're seeing is Satan Children. Hollywood, including the presidents etc, all have contracts to help keep fake American dumb down, with no knowledge of the world. They're doing the devil work.
100% real talk here! Man, I was mad at EA-Ski because he was trying to say the new MPCs don't sound good. I thought WTF 🤬HOW?! I ain't never seen a cat just start a war like that. And it was live. I couldn't believe what I just heard my shit lost sleep. My reply is still there. Talk about a YIKES in a half. Lol, I lost a lot of respect for Mr EA-Ski after that shit.
Well they are making money from youtube videos and how much they make per view add that up with millions of views and all the videos they upload and it's a lot they make lol. I've noticed they keep deleting and re uploading songs once it reaches so many views too because i have to keep re-adding a few every few months to my playlists lol. That's how they make their money now it's all monetized and from live shows. I need a solid answer though, if all ideas and genres have been done then what the heck are they going to do? lol because i don't see what else anyone can do with anything anymore. I think star trek got it right how it is in that world where they just throw themselves into their work, space exploration, and advancing new technology and science because what else is there?. I think the future is going to go into holographic concerts like they're already doing with Abba and a few other past musicians just to give new generations distractions. I do sense everyone is trying to come up with new ideas right now but honestly as someone who likes something from every type of music i can't think of anything totally different anyone could do now. It doesn't matter if they use AI like what could it come up with that would be like nothing we've heard before?.
It's a matter of producing the song from start to finish. An example exercise in that is taking one of your own beats, and hiring or doing the following yourself: writing lyrics, topline, vocal melody, vocal arrangement, hiring rappers/singers for lead and background vocals, vocal production, revising the instrumental as needed to suit the whole song and the vocals, hiring session musicians if necessary, mixing and mastering. It's a good way to learn some skills and gain respect for what goes into the full production of a song.
True. I've was in it back in the door. No resemblance to today! Face it, what is out there is pitched as freeing artists but, in fact, there are way more middlemen controlling the game anarchically, instead of large labels. Who makes money on Soundcloud, et al.? Souncldoud, et al, that's who. Ditto for the social media platforms...youtube rakes in billions...artists a few pennies. Sure, you can make it, if you can survie, over the long run it takes.
I've been INDEPENDENT all of my life through all categories you can name, and haven't had to work a regular 9-5 since 2009. As far as Artist are concerned, there are many who utilize the internet, bandcamp, streaming, physical, etc. Also at 1:09 it's funny, because people are renting out cars in VR, and some people get paid monthly upwards of 10k per month by META for their "clubs",etc and I get paid to play video games in VR. Don't sleep on it
You can’t answer that question 🙋🏾♂️, but can you answer this question. How much storage does a terabyte have, or how many tracks can you download? Is it a 100 albums? 🤷🏾♂️I really don’t know. 🙅🏾♂️
Great points. During the battle I was looking for producers to talk about it from a production point of view but all they were doing was being fan boys and gossiping. As soon as I saw this title I clicked on it...even if I'm 3 months late
@@marcus.mccloud Both! But they both only get Singles just like we use to do to the radio stations back in the day. Only give them crumbs and then charge for the whole meal! Salute 🫡
What you saying is straight facts bro. Im 24 and Was having this debate with my brother who is in his 40’s. Growing up it was like my childhood was half analog and half digital being a person born in 2000. I would ask my mom for money to buy CD’s and when I would play those hard copy albums it was like entering that artist’s universe. You sat with that album for a week read the credits on the back and really grew to Appreciate it. Now its invisible music. U hear but cant touch and its almost like a disconnect. New Music is fast food. Old music is grandmas cooking.
There was a guy in the 1990s named Timmy T had only 8 tracks and had a hit on the charts , One more try. facts , This man is spitting the damn truth You can make a song with very little tracks and sounds Now get a stepping
