A lot of truth in this video bro! If somebody is just getting into analog gear at the very least run your stereo mix out to a decent compressor limiter and back in to the cpu. Compare that to the mix you did with only plugins.
Well I definitely didn’t need it but just copped me a Roland MV-1 verselab today, always a dream to have a standalone beat machine/groovebox since a teenager in the 90s so I had to do that, hopefully I can figure the damn thing out
There are many benefits to software over hardware, Space, maintenance, cost even if I had the money I would not buy very much gear because I'd get robbed. If the crack heads round here knew I had 20K to 50K of hardware in this little ground floor apartment they will 100% brake in. For that reason alone hardware is not a good idea for a home Studio unless you got the money and security to protect it. I'd be pretty stupid to have gear here, I already have to hide My Synthesizers from people who come in to My home just encase they blab and tell everyone what I got.
Bought 2 ART Pro Channels with 3 Class A Tubes Mic Pre,Comp,& EQ) in each for the Low. Highly underrated but makes your point about what touches the the music before it hits the DAW
