I like doing this train. I have done it 18 times by coach. I prefer it to the ferry. I find it amazing how coach drivers drive on to this train. Its so qick ans you have to stay in your vehicle. 🚇🚇🚇🚇🚇🚇. I would definitely do this again. I actually done this the other day when travelling home from France to UK.
The M3 Motorway is now currently built on the Mid Hants Railway Trackbed which is no longer intact RIP😭😢😥🥺😿because the Railway would need to cross or go under the M3 Motorway and tunnel or go round the houses which were cheaper than rebuilding the Mid Hants Railway in preservation
08:32 😳 3 people standing next to their vehicle, on the open car train leaving, the station, in the opposite direction!! Eventhough it is mentioned in 5 languages that you should/must stay in your car at all times!! Probably trying out for The Darwin Awards?! 🤦🏻♀️
It's so long‐winded and complicated even to get to the train that it's no wonder that most people coming to the UK do so by paddling themselves across the Channel in rubber dinghies.
When they announced with was a car train back in the 90s, I could not have been more disappointed. I wanted to be able to drive from places like Johannesburg, Chennai, Bangkok and Tokyo to Glasgow non-stop, but NOPE, gotta take a train. Screw that. #AmphibiousCarsAreTheFuture #DrivingFronNewYorkCityToLondon #InternationalHighwaySystem
Planning to do this when I get my bike license….sadly thanks to speed cameras as average speed cameras on some stretches it won’t be a quick ride, but still def this will be one of the first things I do, the other being riding into central London
There is a big difference between the terminals on the French and English side. Fresh and nice on the French side. The English side doesn't seem to be maintained at all.
Thank you immensely for this video. It has given me a good view of the journey and allayed any anxieties I had prior. Merci. Gracias. Danke. Thank you. 🙏🏽
This film realy needs talking or under writing. Why you must go around the mal berrie bush to enter the tunnel? Looks like a lot of waisted petrol. It looks like you enter a train, why close the compartments, if it's outomaticaly closed in an emergency, to educate, and if there is an emergency ,and the compartment is closed, how do you proceed to the next? It does not make sense.
We are driving to france on monday. Is the drive pretty easy? Also we are irish ferries what's everyone's experience with them? And what's it like driving in france?
Driving in Europe is very easy. It will take alittle time to get used to driving on the other side of the road. City driving can challenging without google maps!
I prefer google maps over Apple Maps for European driving. Apparently the speed camera detection switches off automatically on Google maps when you're in France. Hope you enjoy your trip!
