I saw & heard this on ABC television as a filler between programs many years ago (early 1980's) & was immediately captivated by it. Until you-tube started I had no idea what the song was called, vaguely sunny or sonny, or who sang it as I only saw it once. Such a haunting & beautiful version with these 3 fantastic voices. Real magic!
Mary Black........one of my favorite singers.....Love her version of "Song for Ireland" .......was lucky enough to see her live In Ogden, Utah back in the late 90's
Anyway, sadly Ireland is being insanely destroyed. People who object to unrtramelled immigration are not right wing or racist.we are irish people who reasonably want to be identifiably irish. Nigerians or Afghans or Chinese are what they are and like sane people we know that.we are irish. We don't go to other countries and try and change that country to suit us.get a grip before it's too late, especially sinn fein.
Civil war in Ireland not exactly accurate. They had trouble s in Northern IRELAND Which is part of Great Britain not .. Not in the Republic of Ireland.
That was one of the most beautiful and spiritual duets with Joan Baez and Mary Black, they are 'saints' who walk this troubled planet. Julia Stockings 👏 ❤xx
Can someone explain to me what this line means, please: „And your heart is Amelia dying to fly“ What is meant by Amelia? I’m not a native English speaker and I’ve been wondering about this line like forever….
This refers to Amelia Earheart one of the first females to fly an airplane. She disappeared over the Pacific Ocean while attempting to become the first female pilot to circumnavigate the world.
