I think that what made her terrifying somewhat is that she is not hideous (in her ‘human’ form). I say this as a straight woman, but when you’re running from her, you end up running from something beautiful that WILL kill your horribly. I can imagine being a guy (or you’re into girls in general), running from her and fighting the instinct to not look too long. I looked because I wanted to see how far she was from me so I wasn’t impaled from behind, but I thought about how ingenious it is to have a dangerous literally bloodthirsty monster be beautiful, and you WANT to look at her, even as she tries to kill you. Personally, I adore her design, so I found myself looking at her a few seconds longer than I wanted to while running.

For anyone who’s played the game and seen what humanity in that world is like. Is it even worth saving them? I think he made the right choice. It wasn’t a 100% chance that they’ll make a vaccine. There was a chance that they do. I wasn’t going to let them gamble her life on a chance if I was in his shoes. In my opinion he made the right and only choice.

how exactly did Jack mutate into that swamp monster? - when you first fight him in the basement, his upper body explodes -then when you fight him in the boat house in his mutated form you literally calcify him I don't have a issue using my imagination and just assuming something of him survived the calcification but usually when they calcify it means they're completely dead. It leaves one to wonder how he eventually mutated to that swamp creature

Calling her a villain is naive. In a world of bio weapons bio weapons need to be developed. Developing a weapon doesn't make someone evil and when working on projects more secret than what's at the pentagon you don't tell your spouse shit. And Ethan isn't a casual, weak NPC off the street. If he were a fragile weakling she manipulated intentionally to have abusive control over her husband then yeah. Villain. But that's not the case. They needed marriage counseling after RE7 to unify in their traumas, but keeping your secret job a secret then essentially being a POW and telling your BA spouse to not mount a rescue with him ignoring that warning as soon as he had a lead...not her fault he died. Not all tragedies have an intimate villain. Their relationship is a tragic one. Perhaps she's a tragic antagonist. But I can't see villain.

Resident Evil Village has its own shortcomings but right now, it is my favourite Resident Evil game. I love the villains, compared to the other games I only liked one or two... these are different, they are their own separate villain, not just another mutant.
