Are these two idiots? They keep shuffling and looking at the same cards over and over and over and then guess what, they shuffle THE EXACT SAME CARDS and look at them again. Wtf
It would be so easy to fake this without getting caught. You could easily do the land trick that Jared was doing. Do everything the same except only do one shuffle after shuffling the land to the top. Then do a false cut to show that you didn't cheat. Then do an actual shuffle next time and make everything look the same as the sleight of hand. When I was a few months into sleight of hand, I could do all of this consistently.
a L3 judge once told me once that Mike Long would play standing on his chair so he could see his opponents hand, but he said it was because he has back problems.
If you can ever see the face of any card you're shuffling you're not shuffling right. At this point he's basically flipping through his deck and choosing cards.
The main problem with this is that the cards towards the top of the deck will always remain towards the top of the deck. And vice versa with the bottom cards. You MUST throw in several cuts etc to ensure proper shuffling.
I mean im a new in person player with cards and with commander i struggle and haven't played yet haha kinda embarrassed about my shuffling skills BUT WTF THIS GUY OVER HERE HAHA holy shidt bruthurrr ..
A big tell that he's cheating is that he won't stop talking, and I don't mean he's having a conversation with his opponents, it's that he's nervously announcing how "lucky" he is to nobody.
This may be similar, a player has Cavern of Souls and casted a creature that covers Cavern of Souls and then opponent countered spell - not realising it is uncounterable... player says the counter spell fizzles because it is uncounterable but the opponent explained then it is an illegal play therefore he will get the card back... judge was called and explained that it will still go to graveyard.
"Compare this to his opponents who shuffling their decks face down and away from line of sight" *shows two opponents each shuffling their decks where they can obviously see the cards* lol
Even 2 decades ago, magic tournaments were rife with cheaters at all levels of play - even state tournaments in the middle of nowhere. Its no mystery why so many supposedly "great" magic players couldn't make it at professional poker. Poker is a much simpler game that requires way less homework, but the rules are actually enforced in poker.
She's probably getting a divorce and snuck these off to see what their true value is. There's no way in hell he would let her take these, without him being in attendance. NO WAY IN HELL.
After a deck Check and your deck is completely sorted I will shuffle all my lands together then shuffle all my non lands a few times and then riffle shuffle them together, riffle a few more times then pile shuffle
😮 i can say my main game cardfight vanguard has similar rules Brazillian cut is mandatory unless both players agree to a normal cut And the players have to keep their hand of cards, AND their hands in camera frame at all times, and if you have ti move your hands off camera, your cards dont keave the camera frame
It would be so easy to win all these tournaments. The sleights here are atrocious and usually not noticed. My sleights are almost invisible, especially from the right angles, and I could easily bring five or six cards to the top, palm them, let the opponent cut or shuffle then put them back on the deck.
How do they have video evidence of cheating and they never receive a perma ban? Like it’s just a game it’s not that serious so if they cheat, then just kick them out! Get a new hobby 🤷🏽
@NikachuMTG oh so the target isnt the issue, but more the timing. Sounds like its effect is viable only in a stack using its flash? If im understanding correctly
