Do not use toothbrush for carpet cleaning at home. Once my wife used my tootbrush for cleaning vomitus of my child on carpet and i accidentally used it one week 😂
Purchased the 675 and unfortunately had nothing but problems, problems that AR tried very hard not to fix. It leaked from the hose adapter from day one. I even went out and bought a brand new garden hose. They sent an extra garden hose adapter and O-ring (it was used!) to try and solve the leaking. It did not. They suggested I hadn’t tightened it enough so I snugged it up further and the cheap casted part broke. So did the original one. I know you’re probably saying “idiot you broke it and are blaming AR?” But I’m telling you it snapped with hardly any pressure. I work on my own cars and am reasonably handy around the house. It’s just a cheap cheap part. Can’t find replacement part easily either. In order to have it looked at by AR I’m supposed to fed ex them the unit on my dime which is $100 plus. Given they’ve been insinuating its user error I’m not confident they will honor the warranty if I send it which means I’d have to pay return shipping as well. All that would put it close to the price of a kranzle which is what I should have purchased. Currently the unit is a non functional $780 paper weight. At one point the claims handler tried to tell me the unit was out of warranty even though the claim had been filed during the warranty period because they hadn’t been able to fix it. When I asked to escalate it to his boss he said he couldn’t and basically told me to fuck off. Of course I escalated it on my own. Really shady and slimy practices. I had been biding my time to get a good pressure washer for YEARS so this feels extra frustrating. Just thought the detailing community would like to know. If anyone has a bead on aftermarket, preferably higher quality hose adapter I’m all ears.
@@ArthurMSoto idk, maybe the camera footage made it look discolored. I’ve done a number of teslas with white leatherette, and never any kind of discoloration, comes out beautiful every time. What color were the c8 seats?
@@TurnerMobileDetailing they were a sky blue type of color. The guy said it did it to the whole interior on the edges mostly it was very ugly looking. I know he said his rep said the problem has happened on certain color seats, I’ve thought about asking them if it’s improved or what they do in those cases as I’m soon about to get certified through them! Just trying to do all my due diligence before slapping it on customers vehicles
I would say be wary of evaluating this product. Whatever it does it crushes sealants under whatever it's doing. I actually redid the protection on a 6 month sealant after using it and thinking something had gone wrong. It does make the surface water tension extremely flat but the protection is still no underneath. I am curious to revisit the product if this is the behavior upon application to disperse the product instead of rinsing it away and once it has a cure or the hydrophilic properties erode then the remaining protection will have its chance to shine. This and their Glossworkz werks? are what I'll give when neighbors ask me what to use and they don't care that much about their car. Sometimes I think it looks okay after drying, but strangely a day or two later it actually gets even glossier which is why I give it to the neighbors. I watched one use an ounce on the microfiber mitt I got him that he wet with a hose to clean his windshield. People are wild. CG glossifier products are really cool looking that make normal people happy. I never used it long enough to have much of an opinion on build-up or if the hydrophobics eventually come back but from my experience manysoaps with gloss enhancers temporarily alter water behavior. I've never seen another soap do what those two products do though.
all this ceramic coating is concussing as hell , i just got my car detailed , it was 160 dollars , guy did am amazing amazing job , i asked about ceramic coating , he said it costs $1000.00 , so this Avalon King i see everywhere for 50 bucks , what gives
@@Anne6621 so as I stated in the video, Avalon king is a consumer product, not a professional grade product, so there’s a big price drop in product cost alone. When you see $1000 for a ceramic coating, that most likely includes a professional grade coating, plus the labor costs for all the prep work and installation for someone else to do it for you. 85% of the cost of having a ceramic coating installed is the laborious prep work. BTW $100 for a professional coating is not a bad price, depending on the product and its expected longevity.
I applied to my new, at the time, Kia Sportage PHEV a year ago. All i did was degrease, de-iron, clayed and IPA before applying. I live in Ma. So it gets snow as well as all-season weathering since it sits outside. So far it still has protection so I'm expecting it to last till next summer. I went into this hoping for 2 years and so far so good. I just did it to my Model Y and it stays in the garage so im hoping for 3 yrs since i only put about 7k miles per year on the car. Its such an easy install so getting two years out of it is great especially since i paid $75 bucks for 3 bottles about 3 years ago. BTW one bottle does my compact SUVs with some to spare
Took me 2 hours to do my Model Y. Every part including the glass roof. The prep time is separate. I did one panel at a time and half the hood at a time, half the roof at a time. I did it on a 80 degree cloudy day and it rainbowed within a minute evry time.
Ur a good man but just follow the instructions on the box. Just to see the if the product is good.. that's it brotha.. ima watch a different video 😢 sorry.
I use a Chief 100 steamer. The VX5000 and the vapor clean machines are also good commercial grade steam cleaners. What I prefer is having an external fill tank. That way you can refill with water without having to shut the machine down and loose your steam pressure. So any reputable steam cleaner with an external fill tank is ok to me, hard to designate one the absolute best.
@@CarolCityCane305 @TurnerMobileDetailing using a pro level steamer, with 75psi or higher is kind of like having a pressure washer for the inside of the car. Steam will clean and sterilize everything it touches. It will blow out and neutralize the cleaner you treat the surface with first. High pressure steam also allows you to clean and blow out all the tiny crevices without using a detail brush or pick most of the time. Steam is essential in cleaning and removing things like melted candy, gum and other stuck on gunk inside the vehicle that even heavy cleaners can’t touch. Steam also allows you to clean in very tight areas that you can’t get a detail brush into. I can’t tell you how much time my steamer saves me because I rarely need to scrub with a brush. The steamer does everything a detail brush can do faster and more effectively 98% or the time. You just have to be a little careful around electronics and switches, don’t blow steam directly under the switch/knob.
I have one of these, after 2 years and the exact same thing happened to me. I opened the machine up to see if it was something i could repair. turns out, the housing on the motor cracked. i used it maybe 10 times a year to wash my car. its garbage. (i took care of it, did not keep it out in the winter). Adams should be ashamed of themselves.
no disrespect, but how will you see any water beading if you keep continuously spray jet non stop. You're supposed to jet few seconds and watch the water run down. Each time it was trying to run down you kept spraying non stop, so there was no way of telling. You masked the whole thing unintentionally.
This video showcases the quality - or lack thereof - of this pressure washer....on the other hand.....can't complain about customer service. They did well over and beyond what 99% of companies would do. That makes me feel really good about supporting them on their other car care products....but yeah--they farmed out the design of this to someone....I prefer using a company that builds machines as part of their core business.
Instead of using a heat gun to speed up curing time wouldn't a hair dryer on the high heat setting work? They are less intense and people wouldn't have to worry about damaging the surface. I've used a hair dryer on plumbing to soften 30+ year old o-rings on stubborn water valves and it works well. Plus, many people probably already have a hair dryer vs a heat gun.
So you’re saying it liquifies small dirt particles? That’s what emulsification, or creating an emulsion means. And no, grit guards don’t prevent dirt from kicking back up, they’re just another gimmick of the auto detailing industry to separate you from your money.
Will it’s rated for 2 years. The third year comes from polishing first with Carpro Essence. This car did live in a garage when not being driven, and as far as I knew it was driven about 3-4 days a week, if not a little less. So draw whatever conclusions make sense. I have seen this stuff get 2 years on a daily driver that loves outside though. It’s my fave consumer coating.
Why dont you sand down inside the chips firts to make it a smoother transition between the chip/scratch and the surrounding paint, like in your previous video wouldn't have it made the scratches less noticible?? Thanks
No you wouldn’t want to risk scratching the surface outside the chip while sanding, and sanding isn’t recommended by the manufacturer. Also sanding a rock chip is really only necessary if there’s rust present imho.
For a MJJC Cannon yours is not working right very milky should be sticking like cotton looking on the car not milky dripping time to replace the MJJC filter
hi, thanks for the test, I'm 2 years late but it doesn't matter :-) little advice to clean dirty tires, you will have to use hot water, because the power of heat (exothermy) is an incredibly effective power of dissolving grease and oil, so fill a hot bucket to the maximum of the temperature supported by your high pressure cleaner (generally 60 degrees celsius) which is already very good, then you must quickly use a blower, because the product MUST be in contact with the tire and not diluted, so if the tire is wet, and what's more the water is cold, you're gone for 6 times the game :-) once past the blower, sprayed with a detailer sprayer (forgotten the brand sprayer), leave to act for 2 minutes (not in the sun). then use a rigid tire brush, I insist the brush must be rigid, it will penetrate the product and deeply remove the dirt, rinsed again with hot water step 2 the same thing but: BLOWER, spray, 2 minutes, brush (I like the rigid rounded tire brush, it's the best for me) rinse, I think after 2 times it will be magnificent for those who have the means: the ideal is the real hot water cleaner at 150 degrees (celsius), man you cry the result is already impeccable only with hot water. Greeting
I used my 675 today for the first time and I absolutely love it. Time will tell but I can tell the difference coming from a Sun Joe that the quality is superior. I probably spent over $500 buying replacement electric units in the past and hopefully the 675 will last me for a long time☺️
Unfortunately the the owner traded the car in before it was time to make the follow up video. It was a pleasure to work with initially. Unfortunately I can’t speak to its longevity though.
Hi, thanks for the great video! I'm about to paint correct and apply CQ UK3.0 Is tar remover safe on ceramic coatings? I'm doing north of 70k miles a year and I get a build up of tar very quickly. Thanks in advance.
Yes UK should resist tar remover fine. If you’re going to use it often though, I would make sure to keep a topper like reload on top of the UK so it takes the brunt of the tar remover instead of the coating. I recommend Citrol 266. Not all ceramic coatings are super chemical resistant, but UK is good.
fantastic work and explanation 💪 i just did a paint enhancement and uk 3.0 on a used Ferrari F8. cane out great. now let's see if the owner calls me back in 2 weeks to do the 1st maintenance wash 😆 or ill have to follow up and tell him it should be done. if so ill top it with Reload to lock protection in
Thank you! You can put a coating of reload after the initial application also. If you did that you probably don’t need to use reload again after only 2 weeks.
I wish there were more long term tests and UV inhibitor tests on plastic and rubber. Would be really interesting to see. Renew protect doesnt seem to be getting as much attention as I feel it should.
Hard to say with these types of coatings. A consumer grade coating like this is more susceptible to more aggressive cleaners, so I used a ph neutral shampoo as to not risk stripping what was left.
Good day, Quick question: After using both products is it ok to cover the car with a CarCover over night? I dont have a closed Garage so I only park outdoor.
