Aw man that rim rash is killing me, homey! You need to recommend a wheel resurfacing company to that owner, and tell them to stop hitting curbs! ErmaGerd! :). On this tire product combo, I love it. I have put it on 3 different vehicles in the last 90-ish days, & it's doing great. You will be pleased with it. Thanks for demonstrating the proper use.

I have a buddy who does wheel repair, I’ve recommended him, but he hasn’t bit yet. I guess he plans on hitting more curbs lol! How long has your coating been on the tires thus far?

@@TurnerMobileDetailing Will be 60 days this coming mid-week. The car has been in the body shop/repair locations for 34 days. Will be interesting to see what they look like today when I get the car back.

I like what what I've seen and heard about Blak, my next tyre coating for sure. From what I gather it's totally rubber-friendly, zero-sling, lasts months and looks great - hard to find a coating that excels in all areas like that. Hopefully more professionals will give it a try because I can only guess that a limited ad budget has held them back all these years. Thanks for the nice demo here.

Really enjoying the video! You are a Pro.

You could also enhance and seal those flat black wheels with the GLOZ and/or the RP.11. It's the easier option to buffing and sealing. I am no fan of hand buffing and ceramic coating the wheels.

@@TurnerMobileDetailing Please check with client as to what happened to that car over the 6 weeks. We have never seen the results you got! You get it on right you have a hard time getting it off. Use 25% ammonia to strip broken polymers and renew.

I have been very interested in these products over the past year but haven't broke down and bought any yet. I'll be interested in seeing with the longevity and more importantly the APPEARANCE of what this application will look like in a few weeks or months, whenever you decide to do an update. I've shied away from tire coatings lately due to a bad experience I had with a few previously and returned to using a high quality water based regular tire dressing at the moment. I love the idea of the long term durability but only if it doesn't degrade, flake, spot, whatever you want to call it. That's the problem I had with two other "coatings" that I tried. Both were the familiar "blue" appearance when applied typical of coatings and all tires were really prepped well also being cleaned 3 to 4 times with cleaner and also mineral spirits, but still had problems with both of them. These do look like solid products however and this company seems to be in it for the right reasons and only specialize in these type of coating products so they have a vested interest in these working as well as they possibly can!

Yeah they were great to use initially, we’ll see how long they last. Ill do an update at the 6 week mark when I see this car again. If you don’t mind me asking, what other tire coatings did you try and had bad experiences with? I do like this company, small companies are to be supported in my book, as long as they produce quality products.

@@TurnerMobileDetailing I have both Optimum Tire Coating and Lone Star Tire Coating. I did the prep exactly as it said, even watched a few videos to ensure I was doing it right, degreased the tires, mineral spirits, etc. Both of them still cracked. To be fair, they did look great for a couple weeks. Then they started to fail. Cracked, browning, etc. Just didn't have that rich dark matte OEM appearance that I like on my tires.

@@joevanseeters2873 interesting. The trouble is tires can differ from tire to tire. I recently used optimum on my wife’s car and it looked good for a couple months. I’m hoping renew protect is good.

Protection, Protectants, and Tire Dry Rot: There are two main degrading agents that attack tires, plastic and vinyl-ultraviolet (UV) light and ozone. Both attack the long hydrocarbon chains of the rubber, trim, and vinyl skin by breaking these bonds, shortening the molecules with a resulting loss of elasticity and other properties. Tire manufacturers add two primary sacrificial protectants to rubber. To protect against UV, manufacturers add carbon black. Therefore, tires and trim are almost always black. The carbon black will turn white or gray as it absorbs and transforms the UV energy and disperses it as heat. To protect against ozone, tire manufacturers add a wax-based sacrificial protectant. The ozone attacks the wax and gradually depletes it. As the tire rolls, additional wax is forced to the surface of the tire. This oxidized wax will appear brown on the tire surface. This ‘blooming’ slowly refreshes the surface wax protectant. A tire that has not been flexed will have the wax depleted by the ozone and thus begin to degrade and suffer dry rot. Solvent based silicone and oil products most commonly advertised protectants, actually dissolve the wax and cause premature fading and sidewall cracking. Nationally advertised protectants contain harsh petroleum surfactants. Some tire manufacturers may not honor their warranties if they detect the use of such protectant products. Protectant Check: If is feels slick or greasy after application, it will destroy your tires. Vinyl surfaces have a protective skin that is depleted by off-gassing. Silicone and oil-based protectants may also dissolve the essential oils in the skin, hastening the premature formation of cracks in the vinyl. Silicone also attracts dirt and dust particles. A quality protectant should contain a strong UV blocking compound to bolster the efforts of the carbon black and should not contain surfactants that remain active after applied. RENEW PROTECT supplies essential feeder elements that restore the original composition (OEM) of the substrate. RENEW PROTECT also creates a polymer/ceramic hybrid dry-seal ozone and UV block via quartz, zinc, and titanium nano oxides. This technology also serves to retard the “blooming” and “off-gassing” processes and greatly enhances the retention of protective elements within the surface. RENEW PROTECT BLAK contains a high level of carbon black and is ideal for the restoration of faded black surfaces. RENEW PROTECT is silicone and oil-free. Just used on my AMG…and what was strange is the Blak was a much deeper shine and finish then the glos? Over all the look itself is nothing unique. So I’m hoping for incredible longevity. Or its a bust for me.

I’ve found generally that you need to do a touch up bout every 4-6 weeks. But it can vary, as different tires take this stuff differently
