Hi, I'm a home garage woodworker who just wants to share what i do with anyone who's interested. I like to reuse, recycle and repurpose where i can, i'm not a professional and don't have the best and priciest tools either and i want to show my audience that a hobby woodworker can achieve great things by having a passion for what they do and getting the best out of what they have.
Cheers

Mate I have no experience with the Sherwood jointer so can’t really comment but I pretty sure the two machines are very similar if not the same. I was happy to go with either machine, it’s just that Carbatec gave me a much better deal.
I'm thinking of turning up, but need more details about where in Sydney this will be held. Is there an attendance fee? When does it start on November 9? Is there a website with moe information? Thank you for your videos, and cheers. 🙂
Hey Andrew, be great to see you there. It’s at the Eastern Creek Tavern easterncreektavern.com.au/ from 6pm. Never an attendance fee for the Maker Meetup mate, just buy your dinner and drinks.
Great video! I just purchased the Sculpfun RA Pro Max rotary and can't wait to give it a try. I feel more confident after watching your video! Thanks for making it.
Thank you so very much! The instructions made no sense in regards to this section of my drill press. The cover itself is so very tight and I don't like forcing things. But it looks like I may have to to get it to move as I need to adjust the tension. Thank you again❣️
I have had this saw for 3 years, My main gripe is that the body has a lot of gaps around it (mainly where the belt enters) so getting the dust extractor to draw properly is impossible, I tried covering the gaps with pieces of magnetic sheet, but only helped with blade at 90 deg. the body fills up with dust too,,, also my motor is not even close to being aligned, but the belt takes up the difference. Figure into the cost a new blade as the supplied blade is rubbish. Other than that is is an ok saw. Great Review, Thanks
I know what you mean mate, I made a dedicated video about improving the dust extraction on the saw ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-bRTXu_oQtcE.htmlsi=aqpuWvm_8gXtXX-7
I noticed that the ones you buy from Banggood have the angle markings printed instead of engraved. Don't know if things changed between then and now, or were the ones sent to reviewers were simply nicer built.
Thanks mate. Yes true, I don’t like doing reviews and this one took a bit of time with all the Lightburn screenshots but I really wanted the rotary tool for my laser.
Hey thanks Shane. The whole shop upgrade has been very satisfying and this combination table was the missing piece. Really happy with how it came out 👍🏼👍🏼
A week too late! I made a small baseball bat on my lathe as part of a "trophy" for my Grandson. I was wishing there was a way to engrave it but my CNC only does flat surfaces. Now I know it can be done. Thanks Vic!
That was a pretty solid review. I was going to say "that looks like the sort of thing that you could have many hours of fun with" but you said it yourself a couple of times at the end :(
Nice video mate! Greetings from Texas! I have a very similar rotary that I bought and added a driver to work with my UV laser. If you haven't figured it out already, 12 oz cans make perfect test subjects as you perfect your settings and learn. Keep up the great work!
Hey mate, I have a full system. 6, 8 & 10mm inserts and 1/2” inserts too and corresponding spacer bar and inserts, drill bits and I also have the 45 and right angle brackets. I know the system seems pricey but it is the best dowel jig you will ever use. Maybe start out by getting the components you’ll use most and then adding to it as you need.
Just what i needed - your comment about the spring firing over the other side of the garage was exactly what i was thinking too. Also, thanks for the tip on tightening those lock nuts away from the case.
dude. you can't do that. You bonded a lengthwise grain with end grain. there's over 1/4 inch of movement on each side of the edge. it could start ripping itself apart on both left and right edge. In the future, you need to NOT glue the edges, instead use a dovetail slot all the way down the edge. and you shouldn't screw all the boards on the bottom to a support runner like that. same reason. the wood movement will make EVERY board cup on the top. or maybe you get lucky and have your screw holes rip a slot and they move a little bit and you think it's ok
Dude, yes I can and I did. Yeah ,you would think that after 25 years of woodworking I would know how to join wood together. BTW, the table lives outside and it’s still in one piece doing quite well. Thanks for your concern 👍🏼
So many great ideas in this one, but the laser elevator definitely is my favourite, that's such a clever solution, well done! I've been balancing and stacking my workpiece on offcuts like an animal to get the desired height, this lift is just so elegant!
“Like an animal” 🤣🤣. That was pretty funny mate, made a great visual in my mind. The lift IS pretty cool, I even impressed myself with that. Thanks Mario
