just come across your amazing channel, so much great informations was just wondering if my plan was to run a one marathon a year in say a 16 week training block ,what would be the best thing to do off season
Currently just have one pair of trainers (the Boston 12s and I love them), but I'm looking to get a new pair of something at some point, haven't quite decided yet
My first marathon was 4:30. I did not stop running the entire way, but I felt pretty defeated about that time. I stopped running for a while after that because mentally I wasn’t into it. You have inspired me to keep running ❤ Thank you 🙏
Almost the first thing she says is you only need 2 pairs of trainers, then she proceeds to show you several different pairs of brand new looking trainers which would obviously cost several hundred pounds. Big turn off, lacks credibility, out of reach of most people's budgets.
Anya! your story absolutely inspires me, I started off with the couch to 5k and am now running half marathons! I entered a runners block (so to speak) but after reading your story i have never felt more motivated and inspired to continue. Recently I started to develop pain on the front arch of my foot below my ankle when running, has this ever happened to you? its stopped me running long distances (that being hardly 5 minutes before having to stop) and its really put me down! had a gait analysis and the shoes felt perfect but now im getting this pain and I can't see why!
I have problems with plantar fasciitis and it started as pain in the arch of my foot, I’m not a physio though or an expert in any way so recommend maybe going to see a physio to help you figure it out? Hope you feel better soon!!
Love my new balance fresh foam the trail version. Did my first ever UTMB in New Zealand in them this year. Haven’t tried their road version yet. Thanks for the video xxxx
I love the double layer socks. They glide against each other and DONT rub anywhere. Maybe a cheaper version would cause friction but otherwise theyre a dream. Although they do add a little thickness, the absence of any friction (against the shoe) means they actually keep my feet cooler.
Hi anya I love these informative video's. I love my saucony endorphin speed for speed workouts plus long race distances. The carbons only for 5k 10k races. I'm too a runderwear gal. Socks are compressport socks or danish endurance socks. Fueling is SIS and veloforte and phizz. I use the tablets and gels. Plus chews veloforte. Post race shoes are a must for me too. Sketchers massage fit. Lastly I'd love a coach how much are they hmm😊
I will have three pairs of shoes. Asics gel nimbus 25 for road running and the Asics trabucco max 3 for trail running. Im looking to get a pair or nike free metcon 5 for the gym. I need to buy more socks and undies lol. Thanks for the tips.
dont consume protein so quickly after a workout as your adrenaline is still quite high, hindering digestion - and protein is very "intense" for the body to digest. Consume protein earliest two hours after a workout (this eliminates the protein farts as well!)
Thanks for the knicker tips. Literally any pair I wear end up in my crack and I spend half the run checking around to correct it. Got Runderwear knickers and they’re no good. Going to have to bite the bullet and go for the thong recommendation. Thanks for this. Also, socks are only in that colour which doesn’t go with my half marathon outfit. Are there any other ultra thin ones as my Vapors are ever so slightly snug? Thanks x
Please careful about your supplements! Too much calcium can lead to kidney stones and heart issues. Getting your vitamins through food is the best way! Consult with a dietitian. There is so much misinformation out there. You want to make sure it’s evidence based.
Did your mom grow up in the 80’s? When the going gets tough, the tough get going, is a great song. 🎶 I prefer Billy Ocean’s Get Outta my Dreams, Get into my Car. 😉 If your mom is from Generation X, listen to her! She knows what’s she’s talking about. Love the videos Anya. 😀❤️😀
I feel this should be called ‘ …. when I started marathon running’ not just ‘when I started running’ as most of what you talk about seems like it would apply a lot further down the line for someone just starting out running 😳. I haven’t even managed a full 5k yet 😆, so fuelling bars etc really aren’t a thing for me yet!
I agree, I just finished my first week of None 2 Run so I had to google carbon plates, PB, and Kipchoge when they were mentioned. I also have no idea how to set up a training journal or what sessions should look like. A little impractical for beginner runners to hire a running coach as well.
@@tiffersomeI’m training for my first 5k and I know all about carbon plates, personal bests (Pbs), and kipchoge. I think it’s how quickly and interested someone is in improving and progressing
FYI 75-80% ofpoeople worldwide are lactose intolerant (google it) dairy milk causes cancer and hs hormones you don't need .There are plenty of plants based alternatives
