Agree with everyone on here. Never listen to trolls. If mother teresa was alive and had a RU-vid channel she would have them. Some just live to put others down and some are so down on their selves they take it out on otheres. Either way just let them pass by like thoughts in meditation.🙏 Side note. Have you tried meditation with binaural beats. Really helps me. I find it really difficult to block out the noises of the world so these tones helped a lot.👍

You’re a good man. Putting yourself out there for the benefit of others. Very commendable. Don’t put yourself down. We all have falls. It’s how quickly your get back up and fight the fight. Like you had I had a big drink problem but happy to say havnt touched a drop in 5 years. And also exactly like you a pain pills problem. Which again just like you reared its ugly head again. 40 dihydrocodeine tablets a day. Right now in the process of weaning off. Tried cold turkey but couldn’t get through it. Down to 10 now so getting there. At first it made me feel so ashamed and really down on myself but I’ve now traded that in for a positive outlook. I screwed up.shit happens. I caught myself and now I’m putting it right. Your videos are a big help to myself and I’m sure many others so keep doing your stuff mate. 👍🙏 Just realised I’m commenting on a video from 4 months ago.😅 Oh well. The message stands.

It's not about the addiction it's what lead you to depend to an addiction, you need to deal with that first ,I'm no expert, just my humble opinion, we all have darkness in our lives .

I used to gamble daily and quit after decades to do just the lottery once a fortnight. However with daily drinking I couldn't cut down so stopped altogether with some help. The doctor told me to wean off on 100 ml of spirits a day to stop the withdrawals (which were nasty). This was the only medical advice I chose to go against and I got away with it on a few librium pills over the first night. Next day I felt functional. I had a bottle of Southern Comfort in the cupboard I could wean off with and I binned it today - 2 weeks off. I feel I've made progress, eating well, crapping properly, sleeping well and without temptation. Thanks for the video Sir, it's inspiring.

I've been watching your videos as I'm in the last weeks of getting off methadone and dealing with the withdrawal. I may not be the first to mention this but have you tried taking DPA supplement or DPLA? It has helped me greatly with mood, energy, and withdrawal. It's not a cure all but definitely helps and I highly recommend any recovering addict to take it (even after withdrawal). It isn't an opiate but works on the opiate receptors (not addictive). It's an amino acid called D-phenylalanine and L-phenylalanine. If you are like me and sensitive to stimulates than DPA D-phenylalanine is what you want, without the L. Otherwise try the DPLA which will work the same way but gives you a very good energy boost that feels like you have had a lot of coffee or maybe even something stronger. I couldn't take the dpla without feeling uncomfortable and not sleeping but the DPA has been a game changer. You can buy it on Amazon, my favorite brand is LIDTKE and it's called Endorphigen. There are other brands that sell it and are good also like Doctors Best, DPA. Aslo NAC supplement is recommended for recovering addicts and has promising studies behind it just like DPA so I take that also. Hope my info helps and keep up the great work and sobriety! Your videos are comforting and have helped me. I hope you're doing well!

So true brother, we need to go back to the natural world of breathing and cold water to remaster our own physiology and emotionology, the modern lifestyle is very unnatural and disconnected from the natural world 👍 😊

2 weeks on and I've been around drink but I'm not interested, especially after withdrawing from 2 weeks of daily spirits intake . A short but nasty lesson in withdrawal that was helped greatly by intervention on half a dozen librium pills. One day of hellish, frightening symptoms and it left me. I think being on pregabalin has lessened it too. I feel as though I've cheated it off. Not ideal but there we are.

Sadly, the UK zeitgeist nowadays increases the desire for this crap and also the availability. Add to that memories and mental pathways and success becomes harder. Environment is everything. Spain sounds great. I live in Greece. Had I stayed in the UK I would probably be a mess right now. Stay strong, stay disciplined. !Venceremos!

Thank you for you’re video. I have to set something straight. People can get paws from using an antidepressant or Benzo for only a couple of weeks and suffer ( recovery) for years. Eventually everybody heals. Even people that cannot move or run or eat right. It’s all waiting for that homeostasis ❤

I've done a kindling video on my channel. It's wreaked hell and utter havoc on my GABA system. I can only drink for about five days at moderate amounts before I am off to detox. It's a weird phenomenon. I am now almost three weeks out from my last relapse and, of course, the withdrawal is escalating in severity - as kindling does. All the sedative hypnotics are capable of kindling your brain. Great video. I started my channel to hopefully help the next alcoholic and keep myself sober. I've had to come clean twice on that channel. Stay safe and sober.

Same. I've been prescribed all sorts of "bad" and "highly addictive" meds in the past and never once moved on to harder drugs or had withdrawals etc... It really just comes down to self control and it's a shame people who actually need these meds are denied because people cannot control themselves. Much like alcohol addiction (which you can buy anywhere) or obesity. I don't see the FDA shutting down fast food restaurants or pulling alcohol from the shelves, but pills.... oh no... those are bad because some people cannot control themselves so everyone has to suffer. This is a people problem, not a drug problem.

I lisyened to audio book. From Borrow Box app. Uk libraries. It was Trinny Woodall called Fearless. It was very food. She talked about her drug addiction. She talked about all things post recovery after addiction looking after yourself. Think book if you bought it, had a Paper pdf you can use as a note book for yourself. ❤ There was another book called Vibe Up. And Jay Slater from The Furniture do it up programme on tv. Global player app has loads of podcats to listen to. I had to stop music radio in car adverts and music was triggers. Got rid of tv this year too. I walk 60 mins every day. I take my vitamins, Iron, vit d 3,000, b vitamins. Fish 3 times a week. Chicken 4 times a week. I prep up salads in lunch boxes. I roast garlic for heart health. I meditate. I do breath work breath in for 3. Hold for 4. Breath out for 5. Im doing all I can to keep myself sober and healthy. I listened to Gyles Brandreth on borrow box app about poems. About learning 2 lines a day from a Sonnet. So my the end of a week 12 lines is a full sonnet poem. You will have learned something new.
