Just found you via Tour de Fleece. And I thought, that sounds like a Canadian accent to me, and then you mentioned Canada. I'm in Ontario, setting out my fibre arts fingers to gain information and eventually develop into my own practice. Thank you for all the useful sumac info :)
I made the staghorn drink before i used a bowl, a strainer, and a cheesecloth and put a few of the berry cluster and filled it with cold water to the top of the berries and let it sit for a couple hours
Can you dehydrate dandelion tops and keep them for future dyeing? We just bought a small log home in Alaska and I’m identifying flora now trying to keep my husband from mowing things. 🫣Loving your content❣️Thank you!!
Just popped in on an “old” post to say “hi” and to let y’all know: YOU ARE MISSED. BIG TIME. I hope this finds you well, safe, happy, healthy and with smiles on your faces! Hurry back to RU-vid land, could ya?! 😉. Sincerest, warmest, and hugest hugs from the Oh! Lisa ☺️🫶🏻🧶
I deduce that you’re in Canada, but where exactly? Perhaps, it’s made clear in a previous video, but shouldn’t it be made clear in every video? Hope this remark helps.
This is so interesting. Every time I’ve tried dyeing with pomegranate skins, I had very poor results. I used skins that had fallen from the tree after the squirrels ate the fruit. So perhaps I need to harvest skin from fresher skins. (Or perhaps squirrel spit inhibits dyeing…)
Researched this for an assignment I'm doing for my Textiles class, and now I want to do this this summer with my mum! Maybe we can dye homemade paper and linens. :) I had a question to! How easily do these colours fade? Either by being washed or by the sun. And if there a way to help the colour stay if they do fade easily?
I am SO SO GLAD y’all posted this video! Thank you! My husband would tell you, I’ve been worried about my “fiber besties in Canada”! Happy Boxing Day; hope you had a very Merry Christmas, both of you and your fur boy! Happy 2024. Stay warm, be safe, and brightest blessings to both of you and your families. Love from Ohio 🫶🏻🧶🎄☺️ Lisa
