Really baffles me as to why there isn't any fencing separating the pits from the track. And the big concrete pylon. Someone could easily launch into it. Mark my words, time will tell.
The 500 is usually around the day of my birthday. That year, my mom asked me if I wanted to go to either the Indianapolis 500 or a concert. I chose the 500. One of the best decisions I believe I've ever made. 2024 will be number nine I've attended!
FUCK... It's scary that this was ten years ago. 😳 I still remember watching this, pretty sure this was the first V8 Supercar race I ever watched and that battle between McLaughlin and Whincup combined with McLaughlin's 'Give it some jangle' post-race interview... Fantastic stuff! That Valvoline Volvo livery and the Pepsi Max livery on the Ford Falcon still look lovely to this day! 😍
What is going on in the Head of this Driver? When i cant see anything because of so much Dust, i brake! You have to imagine that there could be a car in all this Dust. The Dust dont come out of nowhere.
Even though many people don't like it, I love it when someone goes for an alternate strategy and tries to win by fuel mileage. Usually gives some very surprising winners
It's sheer coincidence the guy that spun wasn't T-boned... and he had that luck two times in a row. This was, much like Grosjean's crash a few years ago, just an inch away from becoming a catastrophe. Thankfully, we didn't have to mourn a single driver's passing here, despite this being a rather significant and dangerous accident.
