I started this channel to share art tips and techniques I have learned throughout the decades that I have been exploring all the facets of the art world. This is my attempt to pack my studio with as many people interested in creating and learning to grow with their art. Although I have one I do not really believe you need a degree in art to become a good artist. I think practice, focus, willingness to learn new things and a sense of adventure would serve you just as well. My videos are not posh, phony or slick, I am not in this to impress. The videos are to inspire and entertain fellow artists. Please bear with me if there is a glitch here or there and my tendency to veer off and ramble. That is me being me. I am not wired to do it any other way.
Thanx for this new way of dying !! Yes loved the last one the best !! Im trying this way next, others and "my" either to long or plain, no design !! Ive done some painting with coffee on freezer paper and made its "own " design !! 🎉❤😊
I loved watching this video! In the end you mention a followup video with the final work on the collage. I can't seem to find it. Can you help? I'd love to see the end result
This is so Cool! I actually got pencil accidentally onto my gelli plate and found out the hard way about needing baby oil to get it off! But when I tried to see if it would transfer, it didn't. Soo....is it only the water soluble graphite that transfers? I just found your channel and look forward to watching more. Thanks so much!
That was great ty I live hello prinfing. But there’s only so much collaging books. You can make this working with jewelry except my alley. Thank you very much for the video.
Great video - thanks! I’ve been trying to both figure out what to do with all of my gel prints…and for something to add to my products at markets I’m doing. I’m thinking that it might be easier to glue the blanks down first and then cut them out? Also - a Dremel or other rotary tool would come in handy for buffing the edges (and sanding the finding hole!) Lots of ideas you’ve given me - thank you!
I do use a dremel sometimes but on my videos I try to show how stuff can be done with minimal equipment. I have collaged a big sheet of tissue paper together and then glued the blanks down and cut them out with an exacto knife. Either way works fine.
I would recommend Sketchbox over Scrawlrbox for you simply because you live in the US. For anyone living in the EU or UK, I’d recommend Scrawlrbox. Both companies typically have really great products. The only difference is the time and money for shipping.
Thank you for your recommendation. I am going to open my second Sketchbox tonitght. I hope it is as good as the last one. Once I have opened all three I will make a decision on what I will subscribe to. There are just so many out there it is confusing.
The lack of in-box instructions is frustrating BUT they do have a RU-vid channel where they explain how to use each supply and offer a tutorial using the supplies.
I love the beautiful colors. I like the idea of mixing your own. I wonder if they could be mixed with acrylic paint since they are water soluble. Hugs ❤️💛💙
Is there any instructions on their website? I noticed one of those code things that you can scan at the bottom of the card, could try that. Those powders look very pigmented I mean I'm no expert or anything, but it looks like you only need the tiniest of bits...if so, these are gonna last a heck of a long time! Beautiful colours .... that purple when you mixed them... fantastic colour!
I have been playing with that little bit I mixed all afternoon. I haven't checked out their website yet there may be instructions there. I will though. I like what I am getting from these pigments.
Not being able to see what you are doing I maybe can take a guess that you are't give up taking too long between laying down the matt medium and putting the paper down on it. You have to get that paper down before any of it dries or you will get a patchy or totally empty pull. You also need to make sure it dries before you pull it back up. it took me a while to get really good prints. Don't give up.
@@craftingareality6282 I lay the paper down almost instantly. I think it may be a problem of the translucent paper I draw on - I have to try more slick paper which may leave more trace from the drawings. Soft pencil (4B, 6B) prints beautifully. Thank you :-)
