Pit boss is a joke product! I replaced everything 1 at a time and I’m a certified electrician-welder and carpenter! And I keep mine immaculately Clean and now it’s spitting smoke and starting fires- what is going on?! I even double checked the control board I got sent from the company and everything is just like my old one but still paint functioning correctly, I’m putting my old one back on because it worked- I only replaced it because it was faded and gross!!!
Mine doesn’t smoke anywhere near that much except start up I have been doing a hard shutdown x2 then refire that will get er smoking but what a pain in the ass and only last a few minutes
Mine is 3 years old the exact same model. I cook rib’s chicken pizza brisket tri tip pork buts. It does everything well. There are a few hot spots. I need to replace the igniter rod my last cook I had to help it get going last cook. I also have the baby Davey crocket uses half the pellets and heats up a bit faster. I do fight with the Wi-Fi some. I normally don’t use it. My first grill was a Myron Mixon the red unit similar size. It didn’t have the algorithm the GMG that helps it maintain perfect temperature. The temperatures were way up and way down constantly. I have accessory racks so I can cook layers. I also use them on the little guy. These grills are first class in my opinion. My brother had a Treager for a few years and he bought his Daniel Boon first and recommended it. He was blown away bye the temperature spikes I had with the Myron. I’ve used flavored pellets a few times and can’t tell much difference in flavor. I bought a pallet of 40lb bags of Costco brand pellets for $6 a bag on Offer Up. Tractor Supply has the cheapest pellets I’ve found and Walmart second.
Don't buy GMG. Grill paint started peeling. Auger stopped working. Contacted them and they just say BS. It's out of stock. They won't replace it or sell me it. It's been 7 months. I contacted them and they stopped replying.
Did you miss the Temp Sensor. Got to keep that clean and I had a issue with my Temps because of it. I set it to 200 and the temp inside was 250 jacked my brisket up. lol
Yeah Pit boss has a great warranty I was out of warranty and they still sent one for free! Can’t beat that I will be purchasing another smoker from them when the time comes
Really!!!?? come on folks! I personally could care less if you chew gum (or whatever) when presenting your info, Thanks for putting out the review. I bought this same grill a few weeks ago and really no significant complaints yet. The Grill is now called the Ledge plus. Only issue I have had is when putting my rt. hand shelf on It was/is not fitting correctly and would not allign up correctly. My local dealer has me a new shelf and after I get that we will see if that corrects the problem. I love the sight window and the light. Cleaning both --what I do clean it with a little household amonia andthe black residue comes off instantly. Second, I clean again with a milder cleaner to remove any leftover amonia.
Is it common for the burn pot to empty after every burn ? I have to turn off smoker and re start it every time . Is there a way to prime the burn pot ?
Mine came out of the box with a blank screen. It works you just can't see anything digital. Pitboss said it was on backorder so they gave me a Bluetooth/WiFi one, lol
@Tyrel Glaser thumbs down for that lol well to be honest it isn't too accurate the Bluetooth/WiFi one. Using it broken for a month with the screen blank and just using thy dial and looking at the temp guage worked better. Thi Bluetooth thing has been off by like 50 degrees
