Damn. Its petrol engine is way too quiet 👀. The diesel gives the sweet clatter like trucks at a constant throttle. I own one, and man, it might be slow but its one heck of a glider.
I dont know .. I’m using this car from 3 years and i m now not liking to drive another company cars .. the driving ability and that sturdy feel it gives and safety we feel when inside cabin .. may be u got defective one 🤷🏻♂️
You have the dream Indian auto enthusiast garage and most people would agree, but i have a question if you could replace all the 5 for the new gen cars what cars would it be and if given a chance to replace all 5 to one which one would that be. A balanced and good review. Especially agree with you on the rear suspension setup - the car tends to lose a bit of handling stability while taking mid-corner bumps/undulations at higher speeds. A Panhard rod/anti-roll bar at the back, or a stiffer rear suspension set up as you have suggested, might solve this problem.
Just test drove the turbo petrol tgdi. Engine is beast. But handling wasn't as great as you see on youtube reviews. The pickup and all are great but what's the use if you can't fickle it easily while overtaking. Car doesn't offer much confidence while steering on high speeds. I thought it's low ground clearance and longer wheel base will make it feel much stable and planted on highways but it isn't the case. Maruti gives 1.5 NA engine but trust me it might feel less powerful than xuv 300 but overall suspension setup, short gear throw, low clutch travel makes it such a sweet car for city. Xuv is made for the highways or express ways but not regular city traffic.

Nexon is a Compact SUV, it doesnt even come under this category, but still performed superb. Nexon should be compared with Brezza, Venue, Seltos, Elevate
Nexon chasis is so apt for 4x4 capabilities. In 2 wheel mode it is doing so well, 4x4 it will kill everything. Hope TATA in future make it 4x4 with a 4 cylinder engine and that will be all.
I have an Ecosport S Manual. With cruise control on highways at speeds between 87-99Kmph and with full load of passengers, I've managed to achieve 16-17 kmpl on highways. The best 3 cylinder NA engine this car had and continues even till date.
