Custodians are basically organic robots - they're really quite boring as they're so 2perfect and "superior". They're best served as targets for masses of Guardsmen to cut down in a bayonet wave on the tabletop!
Imperial Fist fanboys really are dull and unimaginative. Perturabo has done the impossible, beat up Angron in single combat, tricked the Lion, crushed Dorns defences at the siege of Terra and then trapped him again in the Iron Cage. Yes he's a manipulative sociopathic nutcase but you have to be to be this good! The only Primarch who has gotten the edge on him was Mortarion in the war of Rust and Ruin - I'm sure he'll get back at him.
Weight, size, and magnetism are a space marine's biggest disadvantages. a mortal can squirm into tight areas no astartes could follow as you outlined here. More significantly, weight triggers can easily distinguish a Space marine from a mortal. imagine a bunch of mortals running over anti vehicle mines and the astartes chasing them rush over the same ground without thinking and get sploded. imagine a booby trapped floor that can hold a mortal's weight but collapses under a space marine. Then there is magnetism. magnetic mines and trip wires are the obvious choice. but industrial grade magnets could entirely immobilize them to a certain area set for a killing field. The big goddamn tin cans aren't as scary as people think.
How metallic is there armor? It's supposed to be some sort of ceramic and while I don't doubt it's got plenty of metal components I don't know how magnetic or not it would be
@@lordgod9958 true, I'd say the ceramite (ceram = ceramic?) of a SM's armour would be designed with this issue in mind - though SMs do maglock their weapons to themselves, and enemies try to slap on magnetic melta charges and the like so must be some magnetic parts at the very least
@@dystopianchimp between the armour, weapons, ammunition, and cybernetic implants I'm betting there is enough ferromagnetic material in them to make it work.

If you accept that you wont survive you mught have a chance of taking one out by doing a very close range trap + kamikaze ambushw assuming your explosives have enough radius to do the trick if his reflex are still fast enough to get you before you are point blank
Great, love your content. Youre so insightful and do great research. I love the everyday life stuff, that’s what I study in history and I love it in 40K too
I feel like there's a very simple retcon that makes daemon Fulgrim more compelling while sticking to established lore: Primarch soul shards. I know they're not a much beloved part of the lore, but if the Laer daemon was actually breaking off and consuming shards of Fulgrim during the final years of the Great Crusade then Fulgrim being instantaneously shoved into a painting would make much more sense. Instead of a hackey "lol I escaped the painting a long time ago and decided to be abhorrent anyway" reveal, now Fulgrim could have made a deal with Slaanesh to reclaim his (now daemon corrupted) souls shards and possession of his body. This isn't an airtight idea, I'm literally coming up with it on the fly, but I think it's moving in the right direction. The two main issues I can see are that we would lose out on the perfect Fulgrim clone actually having Fulgrim's soul inside it, and that this makes Fulgrim's heresy story very similar to Magnus' story. Maybe some careful writing can work out those problems but GW isn't paying me for that, or apparently anyone else for that matter
Sorry mate - had a look for the artist but its a bit of a mystery... though the one from 21:37 is a piece by Stefan Ristic: www.artstation.com/storykillinger
@@dystopianchimpthanks! I think I’m gonna try and use those arts as reference images to kitbash a feudal guard regiment to fill out points in my Knights army
While I was trying to visualize a standard hab-block 'apartment', I also came up with the idea that a window would be a luxury, with the second place taken by having a functioning sink to wash your hands. But I was thinking in the terms of an average hive worker luxuries, not a low-rank administrator.
