The seed that would grow into Like Minded Lunatics was planted back in 2014 when Todd Wright, Mark Gifford, and Richard Hall collaborated on an audio drama titled "When Thomas Tired to be a Graverobber," which was the first part in a trilogy of stories that they would go on to publish as an audiobook with the title "When Wade Tried to Save the World."
Since that time, Mark, Richard, and Todd have collaborated on multiple projects, including another audiobook called "The Adventures of Heroman," as well as performed live at various storytelling events in Austin and San Antonio Texas.
Ian MacKaye didn't write that song with any racist intention. I think he was just a naive teenager who didn't realize how his words would be interpreted.
A Year late! Far From Alaska is amazing, but they are in a hiatus for the moment :c Emily (Vocals) is now playing in a very nice band called "Ego Kill Talent", they did a tour with Evanescence this year! This is simple, it dont matter you're choice....we are all a community of choices. Gay, str8, quiere, lesbian, fagg, ...MUSIC IS ALWAYS THE ANSWER. WE ARE ALL UNITED ❤
No, MTV did not play this video during normal hours; at best they would play it late at night (After 10PM). The Frankie Goes to Hollywood video you mentioned that was so controversial was the European version; the version that played on MTV was just the band in concert.
Plus it seems that Janelle had to really work to try and get the pitches she needed as where Pau just sang and played the piano and everything seemed natural
Just listen to Ian Hunter studio version 'Much better' version to compare with White Snake. Then it's an intellegent comparison. And equipment 'guts' like guitar amps were very lacking in that day. I think the piano in Ian Hunter version better. BUT the White Snake version seems to be 'gutzier" if there is such a word. I call for redo comparision.
The Ian Hunter version is a live version from my youth and the Great White version is studio produced. So it's not and Apples to Apples comparison. The Ian Hunter version is a poorly recorded live version. You should listen the Studio by version by Ian Hunter.
There were prior songs that fit the definition of goth, but yes, this is to goth music what "Rock Around The Clock" is to rock and roll, or "Rapper's Delight" is to rap. BTW this isn't a live performance, they are miming to the record.
I know I am a year late watching this but I just love how EC winns on not making a mess in a liberary and that I find myself agreeing that I find that annoying in the original. 😂
The piano that Pau is using is the family piano that they have written many songs on. It is a running joke within the comments from The Warning Army (their fan base) that the piano is always out of tune. Her version of this song was learned, arranged, and recorded in a very short amount of time as part of a TikTok challenge.
👎 ... The Warning Rules!!! 🤘🇲🇽🖤🎶
The sun glasses were on top of Jane's head, she reaches up and pulls them down as Earl pushes her down. Willy was sown in the sheets when his wife beat him with the broom. Look at the number of songs written by Dolly Parton. Over 3000.
Hey guys, is there any way you can turn off that feature where every time you say something during the song the volume drops off and then takes forever to get back to full volume? It REALLY sucks as you have to wait repeatedly after any sound any of you make for the volume to come back to normal when we can perfectly hear you without the "feature." It seems like every reactor has that working against them.
this is so fukin embarrassing. WHY would you even think that two out of touch creepy old geezers trying to be "hip" and "cool" watching lgbtqwtq videos' would ever EVER be even remotely interesting??? its appalling that youve got over 671 videos yet a pathetic 8k of moronic subscribers. This or at least this comment here by me should wake you the fuk up out of your ridicularse delusion. i hate this video. period.
This was delightful, I love how much y'all loved the setting for the video! At the very least, y'all GOTTA see 'Red Wine Supernova' from her NPR Tiny Desk Concert- her raw vocal talent is INSANE, so she sounds even better live. Or the music video for Pink Pony Club, bc it WILL make one or both of y'all tear up.
