Seattle and Vegas seems likely. They should move the Raptors to the states too; it’s the NATIONAL basketball association, not the continental basketball association.
Seattle is definitely the top choice and then Vegas...after that it's StLouis and Mexico City...Just dont even think about Vancouver, probably the worst sports city on this planet, the NBA knew within a year that it was a horrible mistake
5:20 You have the right idea when it comes to the basketball in terms of the holes, but it actually makes it more air resistant than a normal basketball. With a normal basketball air resistance mostly applies to one side (for simplicities sake) which we could measure as 1.00 air resistance, this accounts for the surface area the wind is applied to over the one side of the ball. With this new ball there is actually a lot more surface area in play here, because the wind is not only hitting just the side of the ball, it is also hitting *the other side of the ball* with just as much force as the air travels through it. Plus the fact that the ball will be spinning in the air with a bunch of holes in it creates a whole new dimension of air resistance. We could technically classify this as the ball having around 2.75 in air resistance compared to a regular ball. ofc there is a lot more that goes into this stuff which makes these crude calculations somewhat iffy but it does still apply. (also ik im a year late but im drunk and wanted to be smart on the internet for once pls dont hurt me)
This ball will be known as "FLOP". Cose it doesn't bounce properly! You can't control the bounce (air pressure). It's a expensive toy. not a pro gamming ball!
What if they put the hoop higher 🤔 make it harder to shoot no more easy shots and dunking, for everyone thats 6ft up that hoop rightnow is easy to shoot for them and dunk
they did this kind of shit in football during 2010 world cup and it backfired HARD. i have not seen complaints or suggestions to change the way ball is made ever since.
KC would be cool, but I'm biased. We have so many basketball fans though and the Thunder are too good to drive to go see.Seattle and KC have both lost NBA teams.
So this either completely flops or goes all the way. Therefore setting a precedent for other sports on if this tech is yay or nay. ISTG this exact situation has played out so many times it isn't even funny anymore
Why would you take an object that has been working perfectly fine for centuries, as basic and versatile as a rubber/leather/inflated sphere, which, by the way, is the reason why it's been working so well (its simplicity), and change it into something much more complicated and expensive that will surely come with a whole new set of more complex issues? Doesn't sound like innovation to me, publicity stunt would probably be a more accurate term to describe it.
