I use the coach for long distance journeys as the train is a joke. I live near heathrow airport so I use the coach to Victoria if I need to be within that area of London or if I'm going to Manchester so I don't have to catch multiple trains it's just off one coach then wait in the pub between arrivals and departures then get there in plenty of time for my connecting coach.
New trains have unexpected ramps on walkways/aisles! They’re going to cause a lot of accidents. The overhead screen to let you know what station is next is small writing at the side where you can’t see it well without glasses. And don’t get me started on how the seats have been organised
they`ll actually do over 150 with the hitachi engines! the old jet turbines, would still top 140, so i dont know where you got your info! i use to be one of the engineers, in cardiff sheds, in the 90s
Hi Dylan, thanks for the detailed video and I want to book the same train from Milan to Tirano but for me it’s not showing anything as a direct train, everything visible online is a combo of Trenord Train + Trainord Bus…could you pls guide me for a direct train from Milan to Tirano..?
I been using the trains before and during the transfer from british rail to the tyne and wear metro and now the new trains are on the way only thing is the lacckos seats as there be more people standing then sitting i I going to get some of the stick folding seats
We took the train from Milan to Tirano specifically to ride the Bernina Express. The train to Tirano certainly was scenic. We just didn't plan to spend anytime in Tirano and I didn't take any time to railfan in Tirano. Next time, for sure.
If the train isn't running due to weekend engineering work and you're offered the dreaded rail replacement bus service for all or part of the way, then the coach is not just cheaper but QUICKER too!

Not so long ago I boarded one of these, and the sounds are what make it an epic experience for me, leaving Ashford slowly for a bit, then suddenly ramping up to max speed out of nowhere. Goosebumps 😎
