Hi Inka, nice to meet you from Siim channel 😉 If your talking about Anxiety??? Ashwagandha is the only thing in almost 50 years of Anxiety Disorders(it destroyed my life) to ever have any Positive let alone Lasting affect what-so-ever. Period I did exactly what you did in that NAC video? Because I was so SHOCKED🤯when it finally started to work after about three weeks? I seen what I USED TO CALL(past tense) Night or Sleep Anxiety? Stop. I stopped taking the Ashwagandha & it sure enough came back. Started it again & never happens any more 😉 Beware the Placebo-Effect😨 I now believe if not know that Cortisol is tied to Anxiety. Even my Anxiety Attacks have went down but even when it starts I feel the Cortisol Control helps keep me from 'Loosing Control' as well. Also Cortisol is the Stress Hormone? Nothing worse on our body than Stress 😉 an amazing herb

Hi, nice to meet you. Ashwagandha can be very effective. Cortisol is the main stress hormone in the body and balancing that surely has a positive effect on mental health and sleep. Glad to hear you've found tools to manage those!

People are destroyed from lack of knowledge and loss of self control. Health insurance is so expensive because of the load we put on the health care system. We are programmed to make unhealthy decisions. The food and drug FDA works in a way to profit only. Eat the unhealthy food get cavities/chronic disease and take the drugs to keep going. The only way to stay healthy is to do your research and don't eat anything a caveman wouldn't.

It happened at school they called my mom I never had any x-rays nothing. I do notice though in my forehead I have a dent where I hit my head. Looking back now. During my adolescent years teenagers adult life I feel like I may have frontal lobe damage. Can't hold jobs down I don't apply myself. Relationships I blurt things out I need to tell myself to just breathe think before you speak. Should I get this checked out or is it too late doesn't matter?

Hi Dr. Land, I waa wondering what the cool down time in the dopamine slump is. So, 20 minutes of continuous stimulation creates a 50% dip in valence which is on a downward trajectory, but if you cease stimulation dopamine signaling goes back to baseline, so what is that time period? I think its somewhere between a minute and 20 minutes, but I'm guessing.

Is cancer a metabolic theory or is it important to understand that if we don’t manage the somatic portion of the body then feed it glucose it will lead to cancer that will feed off of sugar. To “cure”/undue cancer remove the sugar/ketosis. To prevent the cancer, care for the somatics… cancer may not be able to be formed without the sugar but lawd only knows what degenerative things do occur in stressful situations due to people not taking care of themselves beyond food;mental health. The glutamine side of this is super fascinating It would be interesting to see if a solution/iv solution of ketones for the patient instead of chemo would be effective. The person would be on a fast outside of such a solution. They would go on the solution in the beginning to transition then maintained a lowered levels while staying in a rehab facility

Would you say Otto Warburg, the Nobel laureate, is a duck too? The metabolic theory of cancer is based on his original hypothesis- however I agree that this channel makes it seem like keto diet alone can resolve cancer (which if you read Seyfrieds research at no point does he claim this)
@jontpt

@@jontpt except that that is not what he is suggesting, if you read Dr Seyfrieds research he clearly shows that oxidative stress/chronic damage to the mitochondria causing a deficiency in oxidative phosphorylation (and a compensatory fermentation metabolism) is the cause of cancer, not metabolic issues.

Two questions: You said NAC can balance glutamate. Glutamate works in the exact same pathway as GABA. People with high glutamate and low GABA often have axiety disorders. Do you think NAC can decrease glutamate and therefore increse GABA and treat symptoms of anxiety? Secondly, because of NAC's antioxidant properties, do you think it can lower thyroid antibodies for people who have them too high?
@iaminkaland
@iaminkaland 15 дней назад
NAC affects the cystine-glutamate antiporter system (system Xc-), which regulates extracellular glutamate. It promotes the exchange of intracellular cystine for extracellular glutamate, reducing excessive glutamate levels in the synaptic cleft. Yes, I believe NAC can be effective for managing anxiety through lowering glutamate and increasing glutathione. Second question: Oxidative stress has a role in autoimmune thyroid diseases. NAC can reduce oxidative stress and inflammation in the body. Studies show it can reduce oxidative stress also in the thyroid, but more data is needed for thyroid autoimmunity.

Short story. I have bipolar disorder and have been taking lithium as prescribed for about a year. A month ago I ran out of lithium and didnt refill the prescription. After a week, the mood swings came in strong and I decided to look for an alternative to the medication. A bit of internet reseach suggested that some people with bipolar were having positive results with so-called functional mushrooms. These capsules contains Lion's Mane, Cordyceps and some other mushrooms. It's now nearly 3 weeks since I started taking them daily. Things I have noticed. (1) Mood swings are way less now (2) I feel much calmer (3) my sleep has improved enourmously - I finally have uninterrupted sleep (my wife noted that one) (4) I have more energy and "drive" (5) critical thinking and memory is somehow improved. I'm a project manager by trade so the energy, critical thinking and memory improvements are a great benefit. Early days but for me, functional mushrooms have been a huge help. Thanks a lot for your video and you have another subscriber. 😃

Typically within an hour following exercise. High-intensity interval training and other forms of vigorous aerobic exercises push the body into anaerobic metabolism, leading to an increase in lactate levels.
