There was that period between 1977 to 1984 when Ridley Scott was at the top of his game as a film director. Steve Jobs got him at the right time to make a commercial. Ridley Scott lost the plot in later years but in this period anything he did was almost genius level film making.

iPod/iTunes was Jobs signature achievement. It put Apple in position to make a comeback. (This includes being firm but fair in dealings with record labels.)

My collaboration with Steve Jobs in my trimesteryear 1992/1993 was very fullfilling, I learned a lott.Kind regards. APPLE is somehow to me one of the most reliable computertrademarks. And how did it all start two friends in a garage at Palo Alto, Carlifornia, considered Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak.

Apple is sticking together two M2 Max processors to reduce the gap with Intel, ridiculous I won't be surprised that Apple will once again run to Intel to save it from itself like the disaster called PPC processors at the time.

Steve spoke publicy a LOT over the years, perhaps more then any other executive in history. There is video of him being interviewed by the Media even in the late 1970s/early 1980s (he recognized the value of promoting Apple through giving talks/being interviewed, that is something that I think even Steve Wozniak doesn't appreciate). If you talk as much about complex topics (not just computer tech), he was discussing philosophy, markets/consumer behavior, etc. Anyone would wind up contradicting themselves at times. The two things that stood out with Steve Jobs and Also Bill Gates is there lack of focus on internet potential. Steve Jobs said in the early years that "ethernet" never really took off and was promoting Apple networking protocol instead (everything was proprietary, I think that was there mistake). And Bill Gates didn't even see value of internet/online business potential (he stated that TCP/IP wasn't that important) the early versions of Microsoft Windows didn't even include a TCP/IP stack (you had to install third party TCP/IP software on top of windows). Nobody can predict the market all the time. Even Jeff Bezos took many years before Amazon started turning a profit (he was living off money for years that he made on Wall Street before he launched Amazon), it was an Amazon software engineer that came up with the idea of Amazon Prime Subscription/Faster Cheaper Shipping, and that is when Amazon really exploded (makes you wonder what all the Amazon Product/Marketers were doing all those years that they couldn't have thought of having the subscription model/faster shipping option

Bill Gates programms are also liked by me as the programms of Steve Jobs, both programmers are great. I had the privilege to work with Steve Jobs in my trimester-year 1992-1993 in a printery in the Netherlands. Steve do I see as an eager worker in the computerindustry. Bill Gates also.Kind regards. Good video series, but he's often way over the top and conterfactual too. Steve Jobs was more a style guru for the Apple II case, power supply and not much else. Good on him for making forward-looking choices. But also we should not forget that his next slew of computers were total failures: the Apple ///, the Lisa, and (debatably) the first few Macintoshes, the Apple TV, the clamshell Macintosh, the portable Mac, then oops, also the next few NeXT computers. Several billion dollars down the drain on misfires. Yes, he struck gold with the iMacs, the iPhone, and the iPad, all huge successes. But all those happened after TOTN
@nschuehly

The Macintosh was a great success: maybe not commercially in the very beginning, but most definitely as the computer that defined what personal computers work like until today. I think nobody involved with the project would consider it a failure.
