The thing about "just works simplicity": 1) It might work, much of the time, if most tech you own is made by Apple and fairly new at that. 2) If it doesn't just work, years of being mollycoddled by that simplicity might leave you unable to devise a solution that is somewhat more technical than "clear cache, uninstall/reinstall" type fixes. 3) In cases where "just works simplicity" does just that, you still might find a lack of versatility is a problem, what with the Apple walled garden and all.
you mean the guy whos career was saved my Bill gates in the 90s? Apple literally was at the end of life , then got a huge bailout from Microsoft, FACT Had to run Internet Explorer on Apple OS for four years , FACT. Has invented nothing.... only uses tech that other people create, then repack, FACT Only plays nice with its own products , FACT Legend, the dude was one of the biggest dbags that ever existed, just watch any movie or documentary about him , and there you go. Apple has done nothing but create lemmings for the last 20 years for sure, and still after all the money have made, phones they have sold, and weirdos they've created, they still have less than 20% of the COMPUTER market, because most people aren't stupid, or rich.
well, its a human thing. If you keep your ears open, you'll notice that most people have favorite words that would keep saying all the time. Steve's Job words that he likes to use over and over again is "it just works" and " It works seamlessly"
I know this may be funny for many people, but really that was Steve's jobs secret to building a successful company. Think about all the other tech company products you have purchased, and did it work seamlessly? A lot of the times no... But Apple products.. It does! That was really the secret behind Steve Jobs. He just wanted all the things he was involved with to just "Work". Sounds funny, but when you come home from a long days of work, and you use your tech products, don't you just want it to work without having to sit there and play around with it to get it to work? That's really what he means in this video. I respect his mission and on getting things to just work. Again, sounds funny, but it's brilliant!
When the iPhone has antenna problems Jobs fired the lead manager, same with mobileMe. If he was still in charge, the entire maps division would be fired today and Siri would have been improved from when it was "shit" way before the next iPhone. The company doesn't seem as enthused as it used to be, and you can tell from their ads and boring presentations. Definitely not the same company it used to be, their going to end up like M$ with tons of cash and little innovation.
I dare say: if this video was originally posted with both title and description listed below, this video's creator could've killed three birds with one "Ridley Scott-Hammer wielding-Jazzerciser". Not to mention...providing evidence (though circumstantial) that time is an existential construct to allay humankind's eternal fear of immortal death. Reverse all decay, travel through time. Title: 'Requiescat in Pace | Macintosh OS Family | Born in 1984, Died in 2011 and 2018' Description: '"It just works. Seamlessly." -Steve Jobs'
