You always make awesome content with your models and sets. I’m curious about what you use. I mean, what did you use to create your sky backdrop. Also, is said backdrop positioned on the table? Oh, and how wide is your table? And what kind of lights do you use for filming night scenes?
Much appreciated. As for your questions: The backdrop was made with plain poster paper, cut to the size I needed and then painted. I then just stuck it to wooden frames that are screwed on the back of the table. The table itself is 100cm long and 60cm wide. A lot smaller than what I would prefer tbh, but it works. As for the lights, they're small LED ones I got from Amazon from a company called Neewer. They came with blue, red and yellow colour filters, the blue ones I use for night scenes.
A wonderful conclusion to the story of Earnest! It's really nice to see that he survived into preservation, and I especially like how you connected his rediscovery to the special train in "Off the Rails". The grouping of Earnest, Edward and Gordon also has some nice symbolism to it - three distinct eras of express steam, but all three are still in service, and each one still has a role to play.
What a superb episode. Interesting to see how part of the story takes place during 'Off The Rails'. I'm glad to see Earnest have a change of heart and have learnt from the error of his ways. Well done to you for writing these episodes 👏.
Honestly, I love this! The story arc of Earnest going from a humble express engine, to being proud and cocky, to being humbled again, and then finally having an opportunity to for a new beginning! It’s wonderful! And all thanks to a painting of him in the background…
Wonderful, that was the best, remarkable and beautiful story of part 4 ever, Earnest is very happy now and so he was on the special train Gordon was supposed to take, he seems very different after rusting away and now he understands that times do change and I think he will change well too, and even though old engines can’t pull trains like young ones, I think they can if they’re mended and restored and that’s exactly what happened with Earnest, he deserves it
As soon as the new 4-4-0 express engines were mentioned in the last installment, I had a feeling that Earnest's replacement was going to be Edward. And now Earnest's parting words have foreshadowed the later arrival of Gordon... very clever writing!
In order to understand who this engine is, we must understand what Gordon is. Since Flying Scotsman is is canon, as is Great Northern, I present that Gordon is number 1471, Sir Frederick Banbury. Still older than Scotsman, but not causing timeline issues if he were Great Northern. As to who this is... yeah I still don't have an answer. :I Maybe Great Northern was just having an off day.
Woah, that was quite a cold, but tense ending. I wasn't expecting that. I guess Earnest learnt his lesson the hard way. But I do hope he can make amends and put things right soon.
Loved the story but just a little nitpick is You said four smaller trailing wheels, but the term would be leading or pilot wheels. Trailing wheels are when the unpowered wheels are behind the driving wheels. Like an 0-4-4 has 4 trailing wheels a 4-4-0 has four leading wheels
Yeah. Old Joe's take on Diesel was ironically enough similar to both the Seventyverse versions of the Diesel Tug and Old Stuck-Up. He also gave Crovan a Freudian Excuse as to why he is the way he is.
