Metal detecting and history, two of my passions in life.
Join me on my hunt for lost history and treasures on the fields of Scotland with occasional hangers on Marty, Pete, Albert and Simón.
Huge thanks to Regton metal detectors who have become my sponsor from 2022.
Thanks also for those who’ve supported me through BuyMeACoffee which helps me pay for recording equipment, microphones, travel and so on…. Hugely appreciated!

South Carolina detectorist here. My daughter earned her Masters degree in Public Health from the University of Glasgow in 2023. When we visited her a few years ago, I remember looking out at the fields of Scotland and wondering what treasures could be found. Absolutely loved Glasgow, Stirling, and Edinburgh! Absolutely love seeing your finds.
Never drag the spade on the ground in thunderstorm conditions. If you feel electricity tingly all of a sudden. Drop everything and lay flat on the ground.

Awesome hunt as always. Silver coins are always fun. Thanks for sharing!!! Pretty familiar with most GA USA farming practices and I've never seen anything like that carrot field. Very interesting stuff.
You mentioned you have lost subscribers. I’m wondering if it’s a technical problem rather than folks leaving, I have been a subscriber for more than a year, but in the last couple of months, I have had to resubscribe 3 times, because, for some reason, I have fallen off as a subscriber.
just show the popo the big silver coin and your soggy trousers... they will either shake your hand and send you a long home or possibly. lock you up for being crazy::) nice vid. thanks!
Blessings, my Scottish Detectorist friend, from this old man in Tennessee. Great coin finds. I had surgery today, on my C5-C6 disc…but it was a no-go. After slicing through my neck, they found excessive scar tissue on my esophagus, most likely from a C6-C7 disc replacement 25 years ago. So, we’ll try again in a few weeks, and they’ll do my lumbar surgery at the same time, since both will be accessed through my back. Prayers please.
You wouldn't want to drop your pin pointer in that field ! I don't know a laborer who would even get out of bed for 50 pounds these days !!! Great Viccy shilling though John 😉🇨🇦
Congrats on the Vicki!!! Yes, you need a bag to glean the field. Looks like you had what we call a "gully washer". So glad you made it past the lightning. We may get something later tonight, but don't want the tornado it spawned earlier.
Congrats on the new permission & surviving the storm! Worth mentioning that if people enjoy the content, you have a HUGE archive of previous adventures on your channel. 👍😁 Pat/Yukon
Contrary to what one hears, that fiddling around before one removes the coin from the dirt frustrates me. It's not right to stand and guess what it is, when one can reach down and snatch it up. Please don't fall into the suspense thing.
