L would very much like to have you do that over again on a calm day and several five shot groups each way. Very good question but I think you need more infomation. Thank You, John
That free recoil stuff is interesting for sure. But I agree with some others, it doesn't feel like you are participating 😢 do not enjoy it at all. I like having my hands and face and shoulder and toes all over the rifle 😂😅😊 Thanks for sharing! 👍
Interesting ! I have some rifles that like free recoil and some that like a firm hold . Idk , I just don’t enjoy shooting free recoil . I like to feel the rifle . I think wind played a bigger part in your second group . Thanks for the demo! Great vid as usual . I like that you use the CZ for all your vids
How much of the change do you think was from shoulder pressure vs head placement and cheek position? With the free recoil group your cheek is not on the rest for consistent position where it is on the second test. I've been playing with this a lot in the past year.. was shooting .22 and 22-250 and 6.5 creed with a free recoil style that worked for me. Basically do as you were when you load up and then just relax the shoulder till there is no stock pressure on it. The cheek stays on the rest with minimal pressure so that you don't get slapped by it but not hard enough to put pressure on the rifle to influence the shot. This works great for the low recoil chamberings but I would not recommend it to a new shooter Because... If you train this way you are going to run into trouble if you ever pick up one of these new 6lb carbon fiber magnum rifles. If you have shot free recoil all your life you are in for one heck of a learning curve and a lot of frustration. You will need to relearn your trained shooting form for one rifle which really sucks and will likely make you regret an expensive purchase. These rifles absolutely NEED to be "driven", or a 1/2 MOA rifle turns into a quarterback. Thanks for the video - I always enjoy these.
Enjoyed the video. It appears loading may have produced a slightly tighter group, but 7 out of 10 in the same hole was very impressive. Couldn't help but notice the larger diameter pill casing on the table!! Enjoy!!
I have cz 457 MTR and with this round on 50m i am creating bigger hole, on 100m group is around 15-20mm. Very good cheep round, on one competition on 100m with this round i have taken first place against Anschutz, Walter and others CZ457 and they were shooting Eley Tenex, Lapua Midas+/Center x.
Ya I have a 3/8” thick mild steel plate behind my target and I made the mistake of shooting it with my 17 hm2 and 17 hmr and now it’s a little pitted and the odd time the 22 would hits one and sprays bullet spalling all over my paper target in front of it
Sorry, badly done, Grubbing around with the gun on a hard floor? Retuning the new spring with no Molyslip type air gun grease on the spring? Very bad practice, Sorry
@@BROTUNED ive used jb in my Savage FVSR, my 180C and 30-06 and 303. really helps it from fouling as easily. but... some barrel makers say warranty is void if you use an abrasive. just dunno...
This video is enough to give Justin a stroke ! AR looking 22 with a banana mag & you just hammering lead on steel !! Mr " no place in Canada 🍁 " can GFY ! Cheers and have a great day man .
The Derya is looking good my friend! gotta get me one of those... buy far the best tactical 22 in canada for the "AR" look. they look the part and are pretty darn accurate. oh, lovin the paint job! Cheers
I have been shooting the SK Standard Plus, and found it to be about the most consistent ammo out there. SD and spread numbers are small. I think SK Magazine ammo is the same ammo packaged differently. Price in the USA is around $8 a box. Good shooting.
Bottom left target is a good illustration of wind effect, pulling to the other left. I can't seem to get more than one or two decent groups each time, guess that's 22lr
SK Standard Plus is my Go to. Since I got my Begara B14r in March I have been shooting SK Rifle Match so this is my Practice Ammo and it shoots Damn near as good as Rifle match for me. It does have More Fliers than Rifle Match but Bang for the buck you can not beat it. If I had no other Ammo to shoot I would not Hesitate to shoot matches with the SK Std that I have on hand.
Looks to be under 1 moa. In that wind I'd say that's pretty impressive! I like Standard Plus so much I decided to step it up a notch and get a brick of Rifle Match, hope it works in a semi!
