I love it. The glass is comparable to my vortex razor hd. I love the reticle a lot more. Honestly I think it’s a great 22 optic. If you are looking to save some money I do have a discount code for them also in the description of my videos. Stay tuned for this Sundays video I mention my thoughts on the glass I use.
I’ve been shooting around 10 years or so. Mostly elr when I could afford it back in the day. No military experience and got into 22’s around 3-4 years now and love it. I don’t get my long range center fires out much anymore because of no places to shoot over 800 or more yards
I hope poilleve let's us get cans. It may be a pipe dream but they serve a good purpose for noise. Your bolt closure is tight, mine was as well. This little mod made a big difference if you prefer. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-olhN9HBFgUg.htmlsi=xw0TJEFj3CwzqKtF
My wife has the B-14r steel barrel version which gives my Anschutz’s a run for their money. As an added bonus, it isn’t as ammo picky either. She has shot numerous rounds of various SK, Eley, Lapua, and RWS ammo’s with very decent results.
My steel barrel, Bergara loves the SK Long Range Match, trigger tech trigger installed, Won my Long Range BenchRest competition last weekend, front bipod , can't useca rear bag, hit a perfect score of 40 , first one of the club to ever do it!!
Gidday. Good shooting, I really like this challenge, I feel it is an excellent test of a rifle/ammo combo, a wee bit like the "green monster" but easier to shoot and read. The more I shoot and watch tests like yours the more it makes one wonder about the variables of 22 LR, ammo is a known but it makes one suspect there is an unknown as well, maybe environmental. I shot two consecutive ten shot groups into 0.6 and 0.8 one day with a CZ457 and Elely Match. Could never repeat it. I'd love to know more about your rear bag? Especially its fill material. Cheers from NZ.
The rear bag is home made I bought some tough fabric from a fabric shop and some heavy thread and I just watched some sewing videos and learned as I went. As for fill at the moment is rice. It I meant to try other options but the rice works great just have to keep it dry
All of these targets and challenges are from dayattherange.com go to the site and you will see a tab called callouts/ challenges click on it and you can see all the previous targets and challenges and follow along with the monthly challenges the owner Eli puts on.
Thanks I love it it seems to be the best straight out of the box as far as accuracy goes. I have a great video coming next weekend that basically shows this
You must have hit the lottery. First a 10-22 then Tikka now Bergara lol. I really like my Bergara B14R. I did put a Trigger Tech trigger in it. I got the steel barrel version. I'm just not the biggest fan of carbon fiber barrels for target shooting. I think the heavier the better. Of course I only have experience with one carbon fiber barrel and that's on a Christensen Arms. It wants to scoot around on the bench. Nice to carry for hunting though.
It’s nice but it definitely needs to be broken in. The bolt is a bit gritty compared to the cz but I do have thousands of rounds through the cz and only hundreds through the b14r. It does seem to be very accurate though which is nice for the price. I haven’t experienced and feeding or extracting issues like Ive seen online but it is still very new like I said. The cz seems to be more refined but I think the b14r is more accurate out of the box. I will be doing a trigger on it at one point also where the cz can be made way better with a spring change.
Now that I've "settled" on SK for all things sub-MOA, I'm reminded how increasingly difficult it is in my area to obtain it. The closest brick-and-mortar that MIGHT stock it is 100+ miles away, and sites that both have it in stock AND will ship it to my state are currently non-existent. I have about 3 bricks total left of different SK/Lapua flavors. How is it up by you? I fear my shim kit will need to come out if I'm "forced" to look at Eley again.
My local shop has cases and cases of sk standard plus rifle match and long range match. It’s almost like no one in this area shoots 22lr or at least want to spend the extra to get quality ammo which is good for me
@@BROTUNED, that must be comforting 😃. I assume you're in Canada, so that might make sense as 22LR is "competing" in a smaller pool of cartridges/calibers. In my area (New England), there really isn't much of a rimfire market/community (this here's shotgun country), so shops only carry CCI and under for the occasional bunny sniper.
@upStomp in a way I guess I am lucky. But when a new rifle is released for example ruger precision rimfire back in the day I was 3 years before my shop got one in. I wanted one for the channel but after seeing millions of reviews I decided to get something else. Same with the b14r it was well over a year before I could get my hands on one. But at that time I chose the cz 457 lrp over it
@BROTUNED During my research before I got mine, I found a lot of people/articles saying they were not as accurate as the steel version. I wanted that color badly 😩 , but I wasn't going to give up accuracy for it, that is for sure. Be sure to let us know if the accuracy falls off. It is probably like everything else, some do, some don't. I hope yours has no issues man! Tip: If you're going to shoot ANY Eley at all, steak your extractor now! There are several videos on how to do it. It will save you a lot of misery to just go ahead and do it 💯 Congrats on your Bergara man!!!
@@BROTUNED They are phenomenal!! When you find the ammo that it likes, yeah. Most accurate out of the box precision rifle I have seen in that price range. Enjoy man!!
I need a Cz next. Can't find the lrps anywhere right now. I run the bergara b14r in an MDT LSS Xl chassis. It likes the Sk standard and even does fairly well with cci standard.
