I’ve been doing this a very long time so it’s hard to remember. One thing I would go for if you want turntables is direct drive and not belt drive. I only use Rane DJ mixers too but the main thing you want is one with an adjustable crossfader curve. This means that you can set it to maximum for scratching with, so the sound comes in really fast. Otherwise the sound would slowly fade in and it wouldn’t work well at all.
