Hi.... What do you advice someone diagnosed with hormone sensitive breast cancer... Stage 1 and is going through full menopause? How do I balance my hormones to deal with all that you've talked about?

I would love to try this for tiredness and cravings but have recovered from HER2 positive breast cancer meaning the cancer fed on my estrogen. I am concerned that this oil will raise (you used 'balance') my estrogen level. Do you know if it would? Thanks
@angela_warburton
@angela_warburton 4 часа назад
Ah this is a really important question. I don't know your pattern and can't speak to your particular case (tiredness can have many underlying patterns and sugar cravings so often stem from fatigue). I might suggest looking to some other resources to build energy vs use the geranium ongoing. Let me dig in a bit more specifically and I'll circle back with more. I would suggest looking at some of the nervous system resetting tools (ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-N-jPfbrwB5Q.htmlsi=qP6slFO6xTaYqowT) which can help energy and help deep systemic healing over time. The more your body feels safe, and steps out of fight or flight, the better healing goes. Thanks for your comment and I'll dig in to a bit more research for you.

Hi Angela This is great! A question- I’m confused about meat in the diet. Is it important for protein as we age and also is it acidifying in the body? There’s so much conflicting information. Thank you.
@angela_warburton
@angela_warburton 4 часа назад
Thank you for your comment. Ah, the conflicting information...it's confusing for sure. Eastern Medicine doesn't look at food as good or bad, but rather matching the food to the person and the pattern. Some people would do best with very little meat/periods without any animal products, and others needed to consume more regularly because of their pattern/constitution. We do need ample protein as we age but there are lots of options for that. At the core of everything, a diet very rich in plants (fruits and vegetables), with more vegetables that fruits and healthy, whole grains (again, varying person to person). Pay attention to how you feel and also listening to shifts and cravings. Meat can be helpful for awhile, and then no longer feel good and needs to shift. Seasonally eating is important and, always understanding your body patterns. I'm going to be doing a lot more videos on this coming up as we get told that there is "one solution" one top diet etc., in our modern culture, but that just isn't the case. I know it's not the most satisfying answer, but hopefully helps a bit. More coming soon...Thanks again for your comment and question!

OMG! For 7 years I've been feeling short breath, dry eyes, tight neck, hip pain and tension, no longer getting the same benefits from long walks and hikes, or even long yoga sessions, intense exercise... shorter is better now, activity has to be fun... now I have something to look into... the liver... wow...now dance therapy sounds good to try. Yes I did notice that adding daily time for me, saying yes to me by saying no to what does not work for me, voicing my needs... it has really been what helped decrease anger feelings. When I don't do that... the inner tantrum builds up.

Thanks so much for being so generous with your wisdom Angela, each video I Iearn something new. Curious with the spleen 4 point you mention this in relation to sugar cravings, are there other points specific to mood and hormone balancing?
@angela_warburton
@angela_warburton 3 дня назад
This is such a great question! I suggest Spleen 4 for a few reasons, it's a great point for absorption and that particular area on the foot has very thin skin, so it absorbs into the body easily. This means it's helpful for absorption for all the benefits, not just sugar cravings and absorption. So putting it there will also help with the mood and hormone balancing affects. Thanks for your question and I'm so glad you're enjoying the content!

Ah yes, give it a try! I'd love to hear how it goes for you! And yes, Jasmine is such a lovely oil! It's powerful energetically to help restore trust and helpful for balancing sensual energy. Much more too, but a few little energetic things. I suggest putting that on a wrist point called pericardium 7 and holding your wrists together for 2-3 minutes as you breathe. Hope that's helpful :). Enjoy!

NO FOOD/SUPPLMENTS, ETC. can raise a post-menopausal woman’s estrogen levels to their optimal level for protection against Alzheimer’s, Heart disease, breast and uterine cancer, and osteoporosis. ONLY prescription, pharmaceutical HRT(not compounded) can, will, and does! Oh, the lies that the WHI created are still terrifying uninformed doctors and women all over the world!
@angela_warburton
@angela_warburton 3 дня назад
Thank you for your comment. While HRT is indeed effective in raising estrogen levels in post menopausal women, it is crucial to recognize that it is not the only solution, nor is it without its limitations. HRT can act as a band-aid, addressing symptoms but not addressing the underlying imbalances. The long-term effects of HRT over decades are still not fully understood, although promising. And if discontinued for any reason, any underlying issues may resurface if not managed holistically. Maintaining healthy hormone levels and a vibrant, disease free life post menopause involves a comprehensive approach, including diet, stress management, regular exercise, proper liver function etc.. The extensive research supporting the benefits of these lifestyle factors for hormone health should not be dismissed. Not all women can or want to take HRT, and it's essential to provide options that respect individual choices. HRT is a valuable tool, but it's not the sole answer. A balanced approach that includes healthy, targeted eating, lifestyle adjustments, stress reduction, and appropriate medical guidance is key for optimal health during peri-menopause and post-menopause. HRT is powerful and helpful for some women but not a magic pill nor the only answer. An integrative approach, using the best of all medicines and modalities, is the most holistic and powerful way to support women. It's important to look at combining rather than comparing treatments.. Thank you for your perspective and your comment.

Excellent message. Did not realize how the brain changed like that at menopause. I totally agree with doing all the free things. For me slowing down and chewing my food better, being calm and happy when I eat and overall not watching the news and all the crazy especially at mealtime. I like quiet or soothing music. Also eating more seasonally and following circadian biology has been very helpful. I have always loved exercise. I look forward to the sleep videos as even though I feel I am doing "all the things" I sometimes have problem falling asleep :) I love when you talk about menopause being normal and just next stage of life and how we can support that. I believe that too and wonder if those who are taking the HRT whether bioidentical or not may be forcing their bodies into a state that is not really good for them. Or maybe like supplements there is a time/place for that. Thanks

Oh yes, It can be so hard, particularly if (consciously or unconsciously) we've been taught to put others first or override our personal needs. Finding a way to say no that feels good/loving can be key. A beautiful bonus though can be that people really know that when you say yes you mean it and it also models the behaviour for others, but yes, ugh, it can be hard to say no! On a side note, as one of my clients puts it "cancellations are my love language" so saying no can sometime be a blessing in disguise for others too ;). Just a though. @angela_warburton
@angela_warburton 7 дней назад
Thank you so much for your comment. There are so many factors that play into this transition. It can be so hard to have the conversations and change dynamics if you're feeling depleted. It's so common for women to feel like time on their own/getting their needs met is selfish, but it's so the opposite. Once your tank is full (even a 1/2 tank!), it's so much easier and more natural to have compassion for others. Even start with 15 minutes a day. Close the door, do a nervous system regulating exercise, lie on the floor and let yourself be held by gravity, get to nature if you can...little moments throughout the day where you pause and fill yourself up a bit. I so hear you. It's one of the most essential things during peri-menopause and menopause, and it can be so foreign. I'll do some posts on self-nourishment vs selfish coming up. Thank you for being here and for your share! x

Saying no can be one of the hardest things. I have a friend that will make plans with herself on a Friday night to putter at home and read her book, and when someone asks her to do something, she'll say no, she has plans (b/c she does...with herself). She treats it like a date with a friend, and she'd never cancel on them, and so she won't cancel on herself. Just a thought ;). Thanks so much for your comment and for being here!

Most of the foods you mention are also SUPER HIGH OXALATES
@angela_warburton
@angela_warburton 7 дней назад
Ah Oxalates. So oxalates aren't necessarily bad, and the foods that are high in oxalates also have many other huge benefits. The most important thing is to avoid them if you have a system that is reactive to them. Some people need to avoid them, it's true. Others can eat with no side effects/issues. I always suggest getting a variety of different foods (fruits/vegetables/protein sources etc.) as they all have different benefits. In my experience when someone sticks to one form of protein or one type of green (like a client I had that only ate spinach and developed a reaction to oxalates, or those who only ate soy as their protein and developed an allergy etc.), that is where we start to see problems. So first get diversity and try a mix of the different foods. Second, know your body and if you notice challenges, sensitivities (which can be done with the help of qualified natural health practitioner or observing reactions to foods etc.), avoiding or limiting depending on the case. Not a cut and dry answer. I appreciate your comment and post!

I am 52 and have uterine fibroids and so am not sure this applies to me? I am in peri-menopause and was told fibroids would shrink in menopause. For now, should I avoid the foods you recommend as they are estrogen-boosting (cause of fibroids)? 🙏🏻
@angela_warburton
@angela_warburton 6 дней назад
Ah this is a very good and important question. Small amounts of these foods as part of a varied diet has many health benefits. When looking to boost estrogen naturally, particularly when cycling, you can highlight more of these food in the first part of your cycle to naturally support and boost your estrogen. For a case such as yours, it's ideal that you work with a health practitioner. TCM/Eastern Medicine can be helpful in treating fibroids b/c it looks at your unique pattern (I'll be doing more coming up on understanding your menopause body type and the different patterns that present themselves so that may be helpful for you too). The root of fibroids is not the same for all women, so it's important that you work with someone who can help direct you to the specific care and treatment customized to your unique case. So unfortunately I can't get any more specific for you and I know it can be frustrating when you're looking for specific support. . Thanks for your comment and for being here
