If they add sign language, I hope they’ll be making a fictional version of sign language, since ASL is a separate sign language to, say, the BSL (British Sign Language) which is different from the Swedish sign language and so on. There is no international Deaf language as far as I know, so since Simlish is a fictional “language” it only makes sense that the sign language equivalent is also made up and not just a copy of some real world language.

I would definitely expect it to be based mainly on ASL since Simlish follows American English closely, *but* I would hope they'd use signs that can be interpreted on a more international level (avoid regional slang and use signs that may overlap more frequently between languages) and/or simplify the forms to animate well and come across as different from the standard animations.

I love it, im glad they showed the one being built out so you can see that you can build from scratch. i want to put a hippie commune on that big lot with a chicken farm in a middle courtyard. My hope is you can have more than 8 people on a lot, ideally 16, cuz then you can have a bunch of kids running around. My guess is you can't really design or play as the tenants and they're more like townies, but it'd be cool if you could.

Oh the commune possibilities are about to be amazing. I think it'll work similarly to the roommate function, except moving in whole families instead of single Sims. I'm curious if there will be a limit based on total Sims on the lot, households, or separate apartment areas. So many questions and so many days until they will be answered 💔

Just realized the description says “IF you’re the property owner.” So I can easy turn my multi family lots into rentable homes owned by someone else without having to play as the owner. I’m so excited. Might not even wait for a sale for this one!

at 3:33 in the background we see that pier/boat house building behind the boat, with the jutting out roofs, does that mean we get new roofing opportunites?

No. I actually cut out talking about that because the only buildings I could find with that shape were decidedly debug. That was the least debug looking one and none of the shown residential lots had that shape. I'm pretty bummed.

They've been providing pretty hefty updates alongside packs recently, with the curved walls and infants and the wedding lot type (and probably gameplay stuff I never paid attention to). They definitely won't be giving away any major gameplay elements for free because EA *but* I bet the base game will be getting something related, at the very least new recipes and probably some CAS stuff.
