really great topics from yipes like everything he said was pure knowledge. kinda nice to see after all the years of competition so many people are willing to share tech.
Keeping it a stack here most of the reason we even need to play this bargaining game with devs and publishers of trying to find a compromise with players on content for the price in the modern era (only to get a full priced game + f2p DLC model lol) are because of people who are openly admitting to "spending more on f2p games than full priced ones". It's genuinely depressing to look at something like a $60+ valorant skin and having the normal person reaction of "thats fucking stupid" only for it to never change because there are plenty of real adults (who also have voting rights lol) who will just happily open their wallets for that nonsense.
I literally stood behind these guys for like 15 years but i still learned something new today I always thought the cable assist was good but holy shit man. he really does just erase assists.
Yoooo I could listen to FGC legends like Yipes talk about the history of players, tech and matchups from OG games for hours on end. Good shit, please do more of this, hopefully for every game from 3S to ST to cvs2 etc etc
I was lucky enough to snag a copy for the Dreamcast, gosh, almost 25 years ago by now. My buddies and I would play it to death. All-nighters with Mountain Dew stuff. When I was taking my Dreamcast to college, and they'd beg me to leave it behind for them to play with, just because of MvC2.
I was introduced to the Magneto, Psylocke, Storm team by some pro when I first started playing Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 arcade in high school....I was the victim of a slaughter fest...oddly enough, not only that I was introduced to the pro level of MVC2 AS a beginner, but I kept playing these guys in hopes to beat them. But, as you can guess, I NEVER beat the pros that SLAUGHTERED me. I've learned a lot since and I'd like to perfect my skills in MVC2 asap! Otherwise I'll relive a trauma by another pro again.😅
I remember the days when Cable, Hood, and Juggernaut ruled the South Florida arcade scene. MvC2 and DDR were literally the most hype and sweatiest arcade games of all time.
Yipes is my absolute favorite commentary person also a kick ass Player with flavor combos very spicy and it's hilarious that this old game is making a comeback after all these years of me playing it exactly at the times yipes was talking about like before RU-vid when finding strategies and stuff was extremely difficult you had to learn yourself and hopefully with friends but I don't see anything new being found because it's still a old unbalanced and not updated game so fun will still be had for kids and newcomers but all the veterans know these certain like 5 or 6 outta 57 are the real deal if you wanna win
I can see what Armored Core 6 tried to imitate with its PvP, and this looks way better than AC6 PvP honestly. AC6 is a great single player game but the PvP in Last Raven and For Answer were way better rather than being a not as good imitation of Gundam VS.
