So my takeaway from this is that the FGC needs managers for it's players who can't cut a good promo, and wrestling promotions need to allow more creative freedom for their workers. Sounds like a good plan to me.

I'm a wrestling fan at heart and when it comes to fighting games I usually go for the pro wrestlers. Wolf in VF , king in Tekken , Alex in SF , Ramón and Raiden in kof.

Not everybody in the world who has the drive to be the best can also be a promo guy. Look at Lance Storm, look at Dean Malenko. Dudes who are wrestling FIENDS, but GOD HELP YOU if you put a mic in front of those guys. Usually, if a guy cannot speak to save his life, you can at least put a manager/coach on 'em, and maybe that player can put that energy into making his pop-off something people will be talking about, channeling that energy into actions if you just don't have it to be a wordsmith. I actually have a friend who's been the champ of some very notable TFH majors, and we actually make jokes about how muted his pop-offs are. "... nice." he'll say after he wins a FT10 with a tough opponent. "HOLY SHIT, BUBBLEBOOTS, HOLD YOUR EXCITEMENT IN, DAMN!", we reply. Trust me, I get were Kenny is coming from with thinking some people's presentation is dry.

Didn't know in-depth information about this guy but he's amazing.

Imagine if instead of Vtrigger he named it Xfactor hell knowing Kenny he probably already has a move in reserve for that. Very nice interview fighting games are amazing and hearing someone like kenny being influenced so much by it, is pretty awesome.

Watching Red Bull Kumite with the walkouts/gloves/cage, Brian_F getting slain by Chriscch, RobTV freaking out and just being a natural charisma monster made it feel like so much more than just a tournament. It was full on entertainment.
