I was diagnosed with PCOS when I was 18. I took birth control pills to make my periods regular. Now my ovaries are multifolicular. I'm struggling with undesirable hair growth pretty long, it is such a pressure, I barely endure this. Now I'm in Finland. I visited doctor here. I made blood check and it was really good. I was prescribed pills, I didn't have periods at all, but doctor told that for now it was fine. And my hair growing is slowd down ( it is on lower belly, neck and breast). In future I want to make laser hair removal.
15:31 Bloody hell... I had no idea hair could start that far up a face on someone who didnt have werewolf syndrome! I want to hug you. Went for electrolysis test patch, but was told I'd have to have laser instead if electrolysis due to having crowns in my top front teeth. Maybe I'm wrong and entitled to feel this way, but I'm rather peeved in all honesty! I'm *sure* that electrolysis is OK with crowns though; I've had MRIs before with my crowns on and had no issues. Off to look at your recommendations video
I purchased an at-home electrolysis machine because I was no longer seeing results. I use polysporine with vitamine E right after and then I use Aquafore healing ointment and it's been going great 🎉
Thank you so much for this video, it gave me hope since I too have PCOS and struggle with huritism and losing weight. I just want to know if I should wait until I lose weight and deal with the hormonal imbalance or if I can start electrolysis right away. Because it is so embarassing for me to go out in public like this, so I started staying at home most of my time and I don't feel confident and yeah it's tiring.
Thank you for this very helpful video. Do you have any recommendations of hair removal methods for the face that can be done that are pregnancy safe? There seems to be no options available. Seems like waxing and shaving are the only options but that will disrupt the progress i've made with my electrolysis journey, but I have terrible facial hair due to my pcos, and am looking for anything I can do to combat it during pregnancy. Thanks!
I'm seeking to remove my facial hair, I'm white with dark hair. Should I start with laser and if anything remains do electrolysis last? I've read so many mixed messages help please.
Try talking to trans women, we have it 100x worse, in spades. I thought it was going to be easy, and just started on myself, but got concerned that the sores came out so much. I already did about 3 inches of my face, and oh no, is that normal? The scabs and stuff, I have to do this for a while, and I'm in a hurry. I can't do laser because my hair is to light, so EHR is all I have.
I can imagine! Yes the scabbing is normal, it is your skins way of forming a plaster over the wound so bacteria doesn’t get in. It’s very important not to pick the scabs off. They will heal and fall off naturally. They can take up to 2 weeks to heal. Unfortunately electrolysis is a very slow process so you have to have patience. For me it took 3 years but it was 100% worth it in the end!
I went to the doctor with 2 symptoms. They sent me to get a blood test and ultrasound done. The results of the blood test gave me my diagnosis. I have more info in this video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-bmNG_S3PUSw.htmlsi=jlv9YmjqZ95Df3Eh
This happened to me! I spent thousands to egt more and thicket hair on my face! Just started electrolysis but im scared of the process and the time it will take to heal inbetween sessions
The healing time is something that a lot of people worry about but you just have to remember that it’s all temporary. The redness, scabbing, PIH, swelling is all going to heal in time.
D lady i go to uses antiseptic whoch contains an antibiotic. I dont rrally want2 use that. R there any antispetic that dont contain antibiotic? Thnks ft ur helpful video x
This video described my story, except that I am afro Caribbean and with my first laser treatment, I got badly burst. I then built the courage up to try again and the hair grew back much worst. After years of shaving every two days; I tried laser again but the hair grew back denser after only two months. I am now trying electrolysis for the fist time. Only two appointments so far , so I cant say how effective it has been
Thank you for sharing your experience and knowledge with us. I also have no one who can relate and now I am on my Electrolysis journey. I had 4 sessions and I see no results but I will continue with it and be patient. Thank you for being brave and sharing.
Hi, can I use micellar water (garnier pink bottle) to remove makeup, or is it too sensitising on the skin? After a day or two of the session, I apply concealer to my upper lip to cover up PIH from electrolysis.
Really enjoyed this video and loved the setup of your treatment room and your table. Just have 1 question to ask which treatment do you enjoy the most? Mine has always been manicures when I started then slowly pedi's !!!
Thank you for your video. Very informative. I'm looking at you and I same want to open my own room. Which company's machine did you order for electrolysis?
I have a question about other country requirements to practice there. You’re in London , but I’m having trouble finding out what license or certificate are required for Portugal? Do you know where I could find that out?
Hi Meliss, thank you for your video. As usually very informative. I had a lot of different therapists who done me electrolysis and the best was on Apilus but same time most painful but no any spots after treatment and it was the best results. Before I did many times and every time was brown spots on face and looks not nuce. But last time it was amazing. Just in case it was Apilus Senior 3G, and insulated needles with pico settings.
I love your channel!!! And other things that key essentials for the becoming a top notch electrolysist!!! I want to help women , it's all about them and the results , their experience and feeling comfortable in there skin again , and tips ,tricks and info is soooooooooio much appreciated!!
Beautiful, Start my schooling to become a electrolysist at the end of this month!! I want help women with pcos for absolutely sure , plus I have pcos so I completely understand!!! My hair may not be terrible but I understand completely the battles of pcos !!!
Electrolysis permanently removes hair. The thing with PCOS is, you get more vellus hairs that become terminal if your hormones aren't balanced. I think most men shouldn't really have this issue because their hormones are stable, and thus all the hairs that would be terminal should be terminal by a certain age.
thank you for sharing your experience with being a beauty therapist i have been wanting to become one but i have been scared to commit but since i saw this i feel very confident with going to tafe
Thank you for making this video. I have felt so depressed and anxious because of this issue. I don’t even have PCOS (as far as I know). I want to try electrolysis in the future. For now I just trim the hair. Stay strong everyone ❤ you are not the only one facing this. It doesn’t take away our beauty.
