Very informative video. I just planted a 1.66 gallon dahlia plant in my garden with blooming flowers 🌸 Should I only water biweekly? Or more often until the plant is established better. I’m in California hot weather
I would like to know how does one thin out the group of elephant ears - what tools and process so I don't harm them and would I need to add fertilizer every year
Well I didn’t know astilbe is part shade/full shade..so I got mine in part sun and it’s doing ok. The foliage is so green but my flowers are gone now and I’m still waiting for some more blooms. Should I move it to part shade place?
Soil varies wildly. Some places have rich soil, some places very lean. Apply fertilizer based on the soil condition and the plant's needs, not just as a thing to do.
Great info, only thing that's not clear is when to soak the bulbs. If I'm about to plant my bulb for the first time after winter, do I soak it then? Or should I soak the bulb after the dormancy period in the fall (dig it up, soak, re-pot)?
How to deal with store bought/potted hyacinth. (Easter plants). I want to plant in our west facing landscaping. What is the best way to do this? What to do with the potted plant after flower blooms are done? How to store until time to plant in the fall, or put them in the ground in the spring? (NW Wisconsin).
